    I had the second generation of this. It didnt have stylus, but it had wifi. And I think it had one of the best screens I ever saw on a e reader. Pure eink, no complicated layers or frontlight. Also I like the page turn buttons.

    I still have it. Works flawlessly, as usual with sony products. I bought the PRS T3 and later the Kobo Clara HD so right now i don't use it anymore. Too bad sony does not produce small ereaders anymore. I enjoyed quite a lot their design. Only erader from Sony i use at the moment is the 13 inch one, the DPT-RP1, which was and still is a fabulous product.

    It's a 10 year old product, that's now discontinued, has a tiny screen, no lighting and costs twice as much as the current market leader. That adds up to many things but it's definitely not awesome.

      I'm switching to it specifically because it has a tiny screen. All anyone is doing anymore is making things bigger and bigger. This is the size I want.

      @@John_Ridley I literally just purchased a brand new boxed Sony PRS-350 for $29 U.S. which to be honest is ridiculously so little that it's embarrassing. That unit rocks. Yes! I got this back in 2012 when my relatives from Canada gave me & my sister ebook readers. I got the Sony PRS-350 and she got a Kobo (not sure which version). It was only last year when I started using it again and it works really well! My sister’s Kobo started having problems with the screen a few years ago. I’m using my Sony ebook reader now for novels & I’m so happy that I don’t have to buy a new ebook reader! Even if it’s old, it’s still gold! 💕

    i don't know, i still use my SONY PRS-650! with the fairmware PRS+ and the additional Zork Update. it has an SD card and a memory card duo slot (which i just use an adapter to add an additional micro SD card). the PRS+ gives me a file manager and the option to turn off SD card scanning. so i can use 1 or 2x 1TB SD cards (in fat32 format) to store all my ebooks. it works so well iv never upgraded, no other e-reader lets me do this... and all modern e-readers seem to lack an SD card slot all together.....

    I happened to get this by chance recently. I was visiting a church-run charity shop here in Australia, when the clerks there were asking what this device was. They presented it to me, and upon looking at it, explained it was an e-reader. It only cost $4AU, and so far, it's working properly. It even came with a case with a fold out nightlight! It was lacking the stylus, but I can always 3D print one. It worked for my DS Lite!
    EDIT: I'm in the process of charging the device, and so far, it is working perfectly. I'm even able to use my finger to operate the device!

    • @mikafoxx2717
      @mikafoxx2717 Год назад

      Honestly any older one that has a micro SD slot would probably do. The Sony 650, t1 or t2 would have those and up to 32gb cards support. Those and old Kobo's can be found for cheap. Or, you could get one that's just one generation old that has a fair bit of storage space. Kindle is harder to load PDF's and epubs on to, though. I've heard calibre is a good program to use for any eReaders.

    I love my PRS-350 for the size, but I have a problem - as I'm reading, it will skip pages. Like, they're not even there, I hit next page, it goes forward 2 pages, I hit back, it goes back 2 pages. I have to change to a different font size then back again, then the page is there. It just gets skipped during rendering.
    This happens on multiple books converted to EPUB via Calibre, but not always really bad. Sometimes it's terrible, sometimes it doesn't happen at all or once per book.
    If it gets really bad I have to switch to my PRS-505, which does not show this problem with the same EPUB files.
