I was a bit skeptical about the Ventus series, because there are some people saying it is noisy with poor cooling, but I needed to switch out my 8GB 3060ti (MSI gaming x, 2 fans) for more memory so I bought this card. Thank you iVadim for the video, this really helped me decide - not a lot of reviews out there which bring out the noise component and for me that's a big deal. Compared to my 3060ti gaming x it is definitely not louder, maybe even more quiet - so for a 2 fan GPU it really delivers. A bit of a surprise because the gaming x has a significantly larger radiator and both have the same size torx 4.0 fans.

The VENTUS 2X offers just about the right amount of cooling capability. Of course, the VENTUS 3X is better and stays quieter at higher ambient temperatures. But 2X is good enough for me.
@@theivadim I played Metro 2033 Redux for a while, it got up to 75c (24 ambient) and the fans were at about 2200 RPM, so as expected it got a bit noisy (this GPU will get louder from 2000 RPM). I have an mATX case though, so not a lot of air in it. Using Nvidia control panel and setting the game specific FPS limit to 90 or even 60 for testing, the GPU was cooler and therefore more quiet. That said, my 3060ti Gaming X was the same noise-wise so really I have no complaints. Also tested Blender Cycles rendering, which turned out to be very efficient - GPU went only up to 65c and fans 1400 RPM, which is barely noticeable 🙂 That's a big plus. For a 2 fan card, I'm happy with it, but if anyone has a bigger case and extra money, of course 3 fan option would be more silent. For me it is great as it is, no undervolting or other limiting needed out of the box. I'm definitely keeping it and for anyone needing a compact GPU, I would recommend.
@@j2nes man I push my 3060 12GB to it's absolute limit. Overclocked the card as best as I could and set the power limit to max 117@90c. Fans spin at 2700rpm with temp going as high as 89c. The power draw jumps from 171w to 182w on good games.
MSI 4070 super paired with the 7800x3d is my set up current set up along with other components for the listed two gpu and cpu. Handles everything I throw at it at 1080 or 1440. And it’s quiet and runs pretty cool while playing games
Did you get the BestBuy combo? I did, the Ventus X2 performs sub par stock, but with a moderate overclock its actually well above average for 4070 Supers at 3DMark.
@@flat_stickproductions209 Undervolt + Overclock and you're at 10-12% higher than stock, in both average and 1% lows, while consuming ~10/15W less. At that point you're almost at 4070 Ti Super performance.
Would you say that your PC build, including that specific graphics card, is energy efficient in terms of not using much energy that would affect your electricity consumption compared to other similar builds that would play more graphically demanding games?

its 600 bucks in php (php 35k) think Ill go just go with a tri fan cause 22.5c room temp yet its hitting almost 70c not good at all for my situation since I live in a tropical climate and I dont blast my ac 24/7 so my room can go to 30+ c with just a fan on. I think ill have to spend a lil extra on a colorful tri fan instead.
In some shops, they might slightly reduce the price to clear out old stock quickly, and the same goes for the used market. However, don’t expect a bargain. Still, it’s worth keeping an eye on the situation for a chance to grab a GPU at a good price.

Yes, definitely. The SUPER costs just a bit more but delivers a noticeable performance uplift over the regular 4070. That extra performance makes a difference and ensures that future, more GPU-demanding games in 2025 and 2026 will be more enjoyable.
Did you change the fan curve at all? My 4070 Super Ventus 2X is quite loud unless I manually change the fan curve and push it to the right - I'm considering undervolting too. Price to pay for a small GPU I guess.

I think you’ve picked a good combo. However, if you can, consider upgrading to a Ryzen 7 7700 or 7700X. Also, if you stretch your budget just a little bit more and go for the 4070 SUPER, you’ll enjoy an even better experience.
Hi! Love the channel! Had a question for you, hope you have time to answer! I got the same gpu on BF. Truly great preformance! However im slightly worried about temps. When running alan wake 2 on ultra settings (path tracing) in 1440p the gpu hits 73°c with memory at 74°c and hotspot of 85.8°c is this ok? Would rather not undervolt! Just thougt i would share this! I noticed in afterburner that the fan speed settings where off. I reinstalled it and also the gpu drivers! All of a sudden im at 32°c in idle, memory Peaks at 58°c in allan wake 2 1440p ultra settings and path tracing. And hotspot havent gone over 66,9°c Wierd but very satisfying 👍

I haven’t had the chance to test the 4070 SUPER specifically, but I’m not a big fan of the GIGABYTE GAMING WINDFORCE cards I’ve tried this year, including the RTX 4070 and RX 7800 XT. Both were a bit noisy out of the box. Surprisingly, the 2-fan MSI VENTUS 2X performed better in that regard. I’ve also heard good things about the ASUS Dual. I’d opt for one of those if they’re priced the same or lower than the WINDFORCE model.

Question 🙋♂️ , my pc case comes with fan hub and there is a 3 pin cable suppose to be plugged in motherboard but my motherboard doesn’t have 3 pin socket it’s only 4 pin or more What I supposed to do ?
I have that exact combo. Works perfectly! Only ever struggled in stalker 2... and you cant really fault the cpu for that! Still get 60fps on high in 1440p!

I just got the 3 fan version upgraded from a 1080ti strix…can’t complain at all…basically the cheapest 4070 I could find. Temps are 67c max so far.

Which CPU are you using? And did you run another GPU in this system prior to installing the 4070 SUPER?
I am using Ryzen 7700x ,I haven't used any other gpu
If the system was fully functional when you used another GPU then the new GPU is most likely the problem. I'd get it replaced.

Hi! Thanks!🤝🙂 That kind of temperature is nothing to worry about. Most chips are designed to run at up to 100°C without issues. They’re tough.

@@aPciii Don't worry about whether you have OC or not. There isn't much difference. It's important to buy the improved version. Buy E or E1.

They can be plugged in to the 4 pin headers without issue but you wont be able to control the speed of the fan as that is what the 4th pin is for

No. This is out-of-the-box performance.
I have this GPU and it works great, I play BO6 on extreme settings on 4k and it runs flawless with great temps and no stutter.

I didn't. The cooling is fine as is.
