RIP Roger Ebert (June 18, 1942 - April 4, 2013), aged 70 And RIP Gene Siskel (January 26, 1946 - February 20, 1999), aged 53 You both will always be remembered as legends.
Siskel and Ebert both had habits of domineering conversations if not in a conversation with someone of equal wit. They were not trying to be bullies, but their acerbic natures were always apparent. When they are talking to people with similar wits it was a thing of beauty.

..and less than 18 years later, Siskel and Ebert would both be dead, Conan would have received and then had stolen back from him the position of host of the Tonight Show, and Max's son would become the drummer for Slipknot. You know, Conan actually had Slipknot on to perform back when The Max Weinberg Seven were the band on his show.
There's a bit on an old Howard Stern Show where Gene says Roger is a ladies man based solely on roger being a good time. I feel like he shows that pretty well here. I'd love to interview both of them.

He's okay with being the dummy because he's got enough self-confidence to not get snarled up in anything. It's interesting that he's next to S&E who are sniping at each other like 10- and 12-year-old siblings. Who's being more mature, the journalists or the clown? For the record: I love S&E and I know that they're not - on the whole - immature people, it's just interesting to watch this all unfold with full context.
