- My 9 year old hates taking medicine. I recorded a full week of tips for parents on how to get kids to take their medicine. It isn't always easy, but these are some of the things I do to combat the struggles and challenges we face everyday. Take a look inside our morning routine for the week.
My nine year old has ADHD and ODD as well. It’s a battle every single day to get him to take the pill. God bless you for having your go through this alone.
I’m SO glad I found you! This is exactly what I’ve gone through with my 6 yr old grandson every morning for the last year. Was doubting my parenting AND my nursing skills because nothing works everytime. Misery loves company though and I was amazed hearing our mornings on you tube. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR SON. He’s adorable and made me laugh!
He is a trip for sure. Sometimes I just give up with meds because it’s too much of a struggle. One day at a time.
My sons ex girlfriend has a child that acts like this. I didn’t know if something was wrong. But now I know there was and is. Thank you for sharing.
This is literally my every morning. Thank you for sharing 💕💕
ty so much for shareing, my grandson does the same thing
Wishing you blessings from God as you endure for the safety and health of your child.🙏👣👣👣🛼🍦☕️💕
Good job mom! God bless both of you ❤
What meds does he take? My 7 year old son has ADHD and ODD and has been on Ritalin and Concerta but both made minimal difference and he was v agressive and manic when they wore off. He also wouldn’t sleep and would be up til 1am terrorising us with disruptive behaviour and we could not get through to him. I’m desperate to find a med that works
Have you tried Vyvanse? My son had more success than Aderall and Concerta.
Do you have respite care?

I feel like your state needs to offer you some resources to deal with this. In our state, we are on the waiting list for respite care services. I have two special needs children and your son is similar to my youngest. You're far more patient than I am. You're incredibly patient and your son is really fortunate to have you. I give only one warning. Hugs to you!
