Falcon! You are the man. My daughter's 2010 VW Beetle was misfiring on cylinders 2 and 4. I followed your video step-by-step and replaced all five ignition coils and all five spark plugs. The car is running perfectly! The parts cost me $90 and I finished the job in 30 minutes. You saved me a bunch of money and my daughter thinks I have next-level VW mechanic skills [which I do not]. Very good demonstration and explanation. My 2013 Beetle is running rough during acceleration and higher speeds. The dealership wants to replace the fuel injectors and seals $3000 plus. From what I’ve read a tune up may fix the problem. What do you think? Should I replace the coils as well?

I would say no. Do plugs first and see how it behaves and if any check engine light codes come in.

I have a Cylinder 4 misfire on my 2007 new beetle 2.5 L. I changed the sparks plugs and coils and the light went off for a week and came back on. I then replaced the 4 fuel injector and the light came back on in a week. Still have the same code. I am going to try the connectors next.

Don't you need to use dielectric grease on the coils and anti-seize on the spark plugs?
