Excellent video Sir and thanks for sharing this information. I am looking to do the same power directly to servo and wondered the relation of stock ESC, BEC, etc. Appreciate your knowledge!
I know it has a built in BEC, but as I explained in the video if I had set the built-in BEC volt to 7.4 or higher that would supply this voltage to all components including the main servo and the 2 micro servos too. I wasn't too sure those micro servos would be able to handle the high voltage - maybe they could but I read a few blogs which suggested otherwise. This dedicated BEC allows me to supply higher voltage only to the steering servo while keeping the lower volt on the micro servo (and any other components that may not be able to handle it). Maybe it was an overkill but then that is the fun part with this hobby where we try out all these upgrades - this helps us understand it better and have fun and not all upgrades are guaranteed to improve performance but definitely guaranteed to increase the fun factor 🙂. Thanks for replying!

Thanks for your comment and glad you liked it! We are all learning and sharing this knowledge makes the hobby even more fun :)
Hi, the hobbywing motor has a bilt-in BEC i don't think you need two BECs?
