I've watched both Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0. Not sure if I should delve into the visual novel, but so far, having Okabe's internal dialogue _really_ sorts things out. I didn't understand his train of thought so much with the anime and it also fleshes out the smaller plot points that made sense but were a touch confusing This song makes me wonder what Zero has in store
The title makes this track double sadder - Økabe is just a messenger, he won't even get to see the effects of his hard work... It's almost as if he is doing all of this for someone else.
I absolutely agree with you. What Okabe represents, namely his personality Hououin Kyouma is very inspiring, in his character development the best character development that I have ever seen. Okabe is a very deep, complex and multifaceted character, there are very few like him. He really is the greatest written character in the history of anime.
It's so incredible that music can drive emotionally stable people to the edge of tears. I love this anime, and the soundtrack serves as a time capsule that I keep coming back to revisit

I wish I could play Steins;Gate for the first time again. The game led me on an adventure I didn't come for, and yet, the adventure was in another category compared to the adventure I wanted. I came to Steins;Gate cause I heard it was like the Nonary Games, and I wanted another intense puzzle game with an interesting story. Steins;Gate wasn't at all that, yet I never got the opportunity to feel disappointed, the story was so good I had forgotten why I even came to Steins;Gate. I think that mistake was one of the best I've ever made. Dare I say, it was the choice of Steins;Gate. A year has passed since I first played the VN, yet not a day goes by I don't think of it at least once.
As a ACG fan since 1999, Steins;Gate 0 is actually the most sorrow Anime without hitting the tragedy too much. After seeing Steins;Gate and then continuing Zero will just get depressed. Cowboy bebop is sad but cool, EVA is depressed but still cool. Steins;Gate Zero? Your depression will be depressed for doing almost everything in vein.

That is actually a chilling thought. Imagine you awaken one day to find you are in a war torn world and history as you knew it was altered. That’s basically what Okabe faced for an entire month. Have to say The Steins;Gate Okabe had no idea what his original self suffered to create that final plan.
My one and only regret with playing the Steins;Gate VN is sticking around to see how Nae responds to FB's death. When I say regret, it's actually a good thing in this case, because that shit gave me willies, chills, and all that other shit that makes your spine tingle. Never again will I stick around in any media to see how kids respond to premature death.
I don't know how people get the worst ending first. Usually, the worst ending is the hardest to get I think. In all the visual novels I've played, I never got the bad ending on my first playthrough.
@@RinDrop Yeah that’s the game punishing you for being too attached to Kurisu. Normally the bad ending is pretty easy to achieve and you fell for the game’s trick.
