  • Elizabeth and I traveled to the Owyhee Front just south of Boise Idaho for some adventuring in our FJ Cruiser. This was our first day in the area and we explored the beautiful Lost Trail.

    Love the videos. I watch so many off road videos that I’m extremely surprised & sad that I’ve never come across before. I was actually search and watching military hummer off road videos when your Rubicon Trail video was recommended. So I’ve steadily been bing watching your videos for two days. Your videos are so good! Truly. Thank you for taking the time to make them. I know it’s a lot of work. Running the camera back and forth, getting in and out of the truck, plus video editing etc. wow. Very impressive. RUclips should honestly be recommending your videos to a lot more people. Because us off-road guys LOVE IT. I’ve done a few off-Roading videos on my other channel, terminaloffroad. Nothing compared to your videos though.

      Thank you so much for the kind words. Making videos is certainly a lot of work, but it's work that I can enjoy for sure! Thank you for watching!

    oups! it comes with the territory...
    my front corner helper side is smashed...
    the bumper is also ripped.
    I drifted and smashed right into my apartment building!
    I could see the flasher pieces flying on impact.
    that s when I knew it was going to get expensive...
    it s still not repaired, just as you said; it gives it character.
    I was laughing when you said the exact same thing, lol.
    aaww, people know I m an adventure guy, it s written in logo,
    but also on my fj bodywork.
    I left it crushed to remind me that I make mistakes.
    I m not as foolhardy now, the fj weights more than my small cars.
    it does nt slip as easily and takes more space to stop...
    I did nt crash anything since, I m more careful.
    that s my $1600 reminder note to take the facts straight.
    I drift with more space of error,
    just in case the reaction is not as I figured.
    good show bro!

    Can't wait until my 09 is no longer my daily driver so I can do some of these types of trails. Nothing too radical til then. Prepping the FJ for this type of fun just started. In due time. Love going out to Moab, UT with it.

    Do you have directions for the trail head? Is it a loop or do you have to go out the way you came in?

    We are about to hit this tomorrow, im going with a lot of beginners in relatively stock vehicles. are there any sketchy areas or is the trail pretty simple?

    • @offroadhub.official
      @offroadhub.official  2 года назад +1

      As I recall it's pretty mild with harder optional lines. I don't think that there is anything required that a mostly stock rig couldn't make it through.

    So if you trailer your FJ now, did you remove your sway bars? I like the camera angles you got this time. Steve from So Cal.

      Thanks for watching Steve! I have removed my rear sway bar but still have the front on. Maybe I'll remove it next time I have the skids off.

    what size lift are you running and is it still rubbing at all now with the chop and such that you did?

    • @offroadhub.official
      @offroadhub.official  4 года назад

      It's a Dobinsons 3-4" lift. I'm still rubbing a little... I've pretty much given up on having zero rub.

      @offroadhub.official  4 года назад

      @@prestonburleson383 probably not. I only rub when I'm all bent out of shape on the trail. You'll need an aggressive body mount chop, pound in the pinch welds in your front wheel wells, that should do it.

    Now you need folding mountain bike in FJ so you can ride out to take Ram3500 in to pull FJ out in case it gets stuck. 😎

      Not a bad idea, but the 3500 is 2wd and has no ground clearance 😳
