Im a horrible christian, for I have so much hatred in my heart for so many people. Hatred hurts the one who feels it more than those on the receiving end of it. God help us. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
Amen to your true words! We all come short of God, I catch myself a lot judging, hating and lying even sometimes. It got a lot better as I get stronger in my faith but still I struggle. Holy mother Mary plead for us sinner’s now and in the hour of our death! Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us sinners!

Father, I'm Persian. Living in Thailand. Born and raised in a modern-age Muslim family in Iran. Came to Thailand in 2018 to sin in peace and also get rid of the ever-increasing madness of that rotten society. I've been sinning in all forms of it, an absolutely pathetic specimen of a man. Just about a year ago in 2023, I had an encounter with something that I could not and will not comprehend its nature while dying on an incident of overdose. Shook my existence. I can never reflect on it properly even if I tried for years. All I can say is that I'm so new to Christianity, furthermore, I see it as a miracle that the message in the video, has reached out to me. I wish it reaches out to everyone who is lost like I once was. Praise be the Lord. He is EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE. In every single atom from one end of the cosmos to the other, in all dimensions. In Jesus' name, I pray for everyone, and may God have mercy on us. Please pray so the Lord reaches out to my Mom who is the most innocent person I've ever met in my life. She's muslim and she doesn't know the real God Jesus Christ of Nazareth. May God bless every second of your life. Thanks ever so much🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Whenever I struggle with anger or hatred against someone, I try to remind myself "Remember who the real enemy is", and move all that anger towards them instead. I can't remember where or who I heard this advice from, but it has been life-changing.

I used to hate people with a deep seated hatred. So much so that i fantasized about how i would hurt people that angered me. Then i found out that my sins against God greatly greatly GREATLY outweighed the sins others had against me, yet He was patient with me, merciful with me and gave me grace and time to repent because He loved me despite my many sins against Him. And likewise, He forgave me readily despite all this when I confessed my sins and repented. Also, I discovered that If I didn’t forgive others, God would not forgive me ultimately. I do not deserve Heaven, I am a wicked man, a sinner in need of Christ. I have no righteous reason to hate or judge others. God have mercy on me

I was full of anger towards people for their ways, ignoring my own sins, my pride and assuming self righteousness. I thought of myself as better because I knew my sins and felt guilt. Now I see the simplicity of others and wish my sins were as few as theirs. I am the hypocrite who knew Christ and refused his love. I have no right to judge any man as I have abused God's patience. May God have mercy on me, a sinner.

As an 18 year old who wants to convert to Orthodoxy from a dispensationalist upbringing, it is a temptation to despise my anti-orthodox family. I pray that I can come home to the Apostolic Church, but also to be graceful to my family.

God give you strength!
You need to understand that your family is under the influence of the devil and it does NOT make them bad people. They are his prisoners, they are spiritually ill. Start with exercising pity and maybe you will raise to love them. And if you truly love them even in their wrongs (because we are sinners, of whom we are first) and pray for them, there is a chance that they will eventually convert themselves. Maybe they have such talents that otherwise, if they were to convert, would make them saints but the devil battles them and without grace they are losing this battle. You just never know. Look for the good in people, think of the potential, the original God’s idea about this person.
My wife's family is protestant Christian and my family are nonbelievers. A good approach I have been told is to think of yourself as the one in your family who is most in need of God's mercy (as we say in the pre-communion prayers, "...who came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first."), so God drew you to Orthodoxy. You should never think of yourself as a good person for having chosen Orthodoxy, and others as bad people for staying in the wrong faith.

My mother is responsible for the passing of my father. She gave him over to the tyrannical medical industry right before the totalitarian lockdowns and he was neglected to death. I forgive her. Only through the power and glory of God can I ever forgive authentically. This isn’t about me, it’s about the power of God.
And in His Divine Providence he has set all our days….from our birth unto the expiration of this body. Can you forgive God?
The Lord uses everything, even the ignorance & sins of others to save us. He takes @ the best time for us but that doesn't mean others aren't culpable & therefore in need of forgiveness. We are to forgive all. In forgiving others, we are forgiven our sins by the Lord, Who is merciful & like Whom we seek, by His grace, to become.
@@sweetstephylu I never looked at the loss and how it happened as something to be angry with God about. I knew then, just as I know now, that God’s will is the perfect will. Who am I to go against the Holy Trinity?! I am nobody. I am a sinner and God is merciful.
If it's not about you, then why do you bring this up? If you forgave your mother, why are you telling the whole world about her participation in your father's death? We don't get to hear her side. Per Bible, we need two or three witnesses. If you forgave her, let it go and don't mention it to the public. And why didn't you save your father? Just praise God, period, for everything that happens in your life, is allowed for your salvific benefit.

Dear brother who wrote the letter... This world definitely has become more disgusting. Just like Father Trenham said,
echoing the words of Jesus, we must pray for and love our enemies.
I am going through a divorce - about a year ago now my soon-to-be ex-wife moved out to be with her boyfriend. I was so full of disgust and almost hatred for them at the time. I was a wishy-washy Protestant Christian. I amped up my smoking and drinking after this episode in my life.
Fast forward to January 2024. Out of the blue my cardiologist asked for a liver biopsy. Lo and behold, it came back positive for stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver.
So in January I quit smoking and drinking cold turkey and lots of prayers. Since then I have been studying Orthodox Christianity with the intent to convert.
Through all of this my ex and I have remained friends and I even often help them out. The Lord really has taught me a lesson in loving those the world tells you not to.
These videos are very edifying. Thank you, Father. Pray for me, a catechumen.

6:40 I’m 40 years old, unmarried and childless… I too believe I was born in the wrong time. Dating at my age in these times is heart wrenching. I thought by now I’d be a father 😢
Don't lose hope. Help others. Plenty of places to volunteer time to help the widows/widowers and the fatherless.

When I feel such anger/righteous anger, my Spiritual Father has "prescribed" that I light a candle in church and pray that my anger be assuaged and that one day I may learn to love all those to whom I am angered. It is difficult. Our Lord from the Cross said..."Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do..." May the Theotokos and my Patron, St. Panteleimon, pray for me that I may love All.

Father, this is the hardest thing for me to handle. There is so much evil in this world; evil that is not content to hurt itself, but that commits all kinds of slander, deceit and harm to those seeking to avoid it. Those that demand to talk with children about their perverse sexual deviancy, to those even hurting children, trafficking children for such deeds, and looking the other way within our institutions meant to protect them the most.
This one speaks to my heart. I think this might be the biggest battle of our time, here in the west. How to hate the sin but not the sinner.

When I was in the midst of converting I awoke one Sunday morning with these words ringing in my ears:
"The proper place for the battle between Good and Evil is inside the heart of every human being."
That day I went to the Methodist church I had been attending and one of the men there was talking about the Satanic tendencies of others. I knew I had to leave that church that morning. Over the next couple months I made my way to a Russian Orthodox Church where the battle was taking place in the proper venue. I was home, at last, and they are becoming my family.
I needed to hear that.
We should hate the evil the wicked do, but not the wicked themselves. If we know Christ, we walk in the Spirit and God's love is shed abroad in our hearts. Jesus bless you dear brother.

I honestly don’t know if I have the strength to restrain when my enemies violate my loved ones. I pray God will forgive me of my sins if I defend them in mind of hatred. I feel like hatred is a defensive mechanism and I pray I can somehow protect my loved ones from my enemies in the spirit of love.

I was exactly like that young man, the sentiment while unspoken for good reason is not uncommon. In fact I can say I was even worse because I not only hated, I hated unto torture and suffering. Death wouldn’t be enough, payment was demanded and no mercy existed in me. I can say with certainty that I would’ve been a shooter if I continued down that road. In some ways I technically did become one, albeit not in a way that would be obvious. The internal conflict would’ve became too much and I would’ve been drawn inexorably to oblivion.
It’s only the grace of god that struck me down by showing me all the knowledge of forgiveness and mercy. I couldn’t do the explanation justice if I tried, just imagine centuries of knowledge going in and out of your mind in moments. It is my blessing and my curse. A blessing in that I was saved, a curse that proved beyond doubt I could not save myself.
The point of this is to tell of what I have seen. To show that Darkness does not roam uncontested. It merely does so loudly and publicly.

This Father is right. When i was an adolescent and realizing i was gay... the world gave me the message that God hated me, i need to "choose" my family from the world by making my blood family unimportant & worst of all... that i did not have to follow God's laws on sexual conduct.
Turns out I was wrong.
And all my friends who love "diversity & tolerance" dropped me like a bag of doorknobs when i came back to the Lord.
It turns out that by me rejecting "pride" & rejecting sex in all forms being unmarried... kinda proves to others it's possible. So im a liability to sinners & the rainbow mafia. It's actually Satan pulling them away from me now that i think about it

Thank you for this. It seems to me to point out a heretical belief is charity. But to call someone a heretic, damning them to hell is a sin against the 2nd commandment. Trick of the evil one.
To hate. To judge. We must never do that. Never. Hatred is a disease. Like leprosy, it is deep and contagious. Requires a.miracle. Well, the miracle is prayer for those who hate. Pray Christ pour out His mercy on the haters, and the deluded, and the contagious of sarcasm and mockery. Pray Christ utterly confound them with healing and righteousness. Nothing is stronger than the prayer for repentance. Pray they turn around into the Light. By prayer for those who hate us they and we are saved.

I think it’s important to know that the line between hating sin but not the sinner is pretty thin. Do not think that screaming at someone across the proverbial picket line because you see them doing wrong is righteous in and of itself. Do not be so naive as to think the phrase “no hate like Christian love” formed in a vacuum. Be vigilant and gracious.
Hate the sin, not the sinner.
Love your enemies is a Commandment that is more of a requirement for the Monastics and the Clerical Elect.
