- Today we dive deep into the world of the Eddsworld Neighbours: Eduardo, Mark, and Jon.
It's been a while since I've uploaded, hasn't it? This video probably took longer than any other I've made from original concept to finished product. It started when a user going by "Davey" at the time on Discord suggested a video about the neighbours to me, and since then a few people have suggested making a video where I talk about Todd (the neighbour version of Tord). I hope this is what they had in mind.

Honestly old west Todd being the ancestors to neighbor Todd makes sense since he was neutral to the whole thing and present day him is probably just as neutral and say out his roommates fights which is why he is never present. Because if Tord is Chaotic then Todd is sane
I can imagine us meeting todd in a future vid and he's just the chillest guy to ever exist. Im talking gets along with tom levels of chill and sane.
i think he's actually BOTH of their ancestors, forming a distant familial connection between the neighbores and the classic quartet that none of them know about

I always thought that Saloonatics was just Edd imagining the characters as people he knew. And so he also imagined the bartender as Tord or something. Maybe he’s met Todd and imagined the bartender as todd

I'd argue that Mark also is the opposite of Matt in another aspect. It's fairly easy to tell Mark talks and does the least out of the three neighbours, which is a contrast to Matt who has had multiple episodes where he is a central part of the story, (The whole Zombeh trilogy, Matt sucks, Date Night, Hammer & Fail), and who has some of the most memorable lines in the series. IDK what my point really is, but I felt like bringing it up.

ehhh i'd argue that's too much looking at it at a metaphysical angle that the show obviously doesn't take given its so small and always ridden with development strife
i like to think that mark props himself as good with the ladies to make matt pissed but really he's just got a lotta cash and pays ladies to fawn over him

Personally I don’t feel like Jon is really that bad of a guy. It seems to me like he just acts mean to Edd and the gang just to fit in with Edwardo and Mark.

When you think about it, hasn't Tord kinda inadvertently killed off two of the people Eduardo cared about? The shoe that killed laurel, I've heard was Tords, and Jon got damaged by the explosion (due to his robot) to their house. Man. (I admit, the shoes a stretch, but it's still a funny coincidence)
I'm glad the neighbors are getting more attention now tho, hopefully we see more of them in the future beyond episodes
Wait, if Todd's the counterpart of Tord, then is there a counterpart for Ringo? Even if has never been shown, that'd be cool

I really like how you made the transition of talking about the neighbors to talking about if there's a neighbor version of tord the same as your intro to if there's a female version of tord in your other video

I'm a bit late, but Mark's ancestor could be from Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, Cuba, Dominican Republic or Uruguay, since in those countries the currency used is the 'peso' (mentioned by Marco in the episode) although I think he is most likely from Mexico or Colombia because of his accent
i'd say Mark is from Chile, since in the spanish speakers community we have the joke that Chilean people don't know how to talk,,,,,(they have kind of a complicated accent) and Eduardo in saloonatics is constantly complaining bc he doesn't understand what Mark says(LMFAO)

Okay okay, I have a crazy theory about the neighbors. Just hear me out. What if they're clones? I mean, there were "rejects" in the eddisode "Spares", and the neighbors showed up well after that. Plus, they're a mirror of the Eddsworld crew.
And maybe why they hate the others so much is they heard of Edd, Tom, Matt, and Tord killing their clone bretherin.

I never knew Eduardo was inspired by a guy Edd had played online who started have rivalry. Some people found out that Eduardo is like reference of the Mario and Wario rivalry and I thought the same.

a very cool detail i noticed of the neighbors is: When all of them are first seen in hammer and fail, the little guitar riff has more bass and stuff in it. but in poweredd when edd and eduardo are on the roof, only 1 guitar plays since its only eduardo up there

The Neighbors are even opposite on personality, Edd is nice and friendly, while Eduardo is rude and violent, Tom is selfish and moody, while Jon is nice and innocent, and Matt being dumb and vain, while Mark is annoying and conceited, Tord is extremely evil and technically a killer since he killed Jon, so technically Todd maybe was even more innocent than Jon and I’m surprised that Eduardo punched constantly Jon instead of him.
I headcanon that just like Tord, Todd is also quite quiet, but Todd radiates a vibe that tells you that he's gonna hurt you, or anything. He probably left, just like Tord, but unlike Tord, he's still in contact with Eduardo and Mark. That's all my headcanons, though.. (I'll regret posting this comment.)

Tod was really good friends with Jon (because tord hates Tom and vise versa) and they would usually get on eduardos nerves, eventually Tod was tired of Eduardo bossing everyone around so he finally stood up for himself then proceeded to get kicked out by Eduardo
I came up with this headcanon after my friend asked me about a name for a neighbor version of tord, I had had the thought before but I never thought about it as much until then"

I wouldn't say that Eddsworld Legacy retconned the Neighbor trio's backstory. I'd think it's safe to say that, while the Eddhead trio and the Neighbor trio grew up in the same town or such, hence why they were in primary school together, they had been disconnected for a decade or so since primary school. They would explain why they became rivals when they just so happened to move next to one another, with only Edd having any semblance of the "Second Place" memory, as they wouldn't remember each other from all the way back then.

Id say that since the neighbors are the complete opposite of edd and his friends, I’d say that tord is good, if not slightly better. He is a little violent and mean, but still not evil in the early eddsworld, but he is full out evil in the end. This leaves me to believe that Todd is the nicest of the neighbors.

@@YxVideos That's really just a theory that is highly unlikely. Under the assumption that Tord isn't a clone, my idea still stands. Not only that, but early Tord is still shown with these violent and mean aspects, another reason why my idea is most likely correct.
