They did film it at a fan’s house. Well.... his parent’s house.... the house was going to be renovated and they were told that they could film there prior to the demo work being done. The house was destroyed after the filming to the extent that the band ended up having to pay $50,000 for damaging caused over and above where the renovation was supposed to be. The band hand no problem with it and said in an interview that $50,000 was worth the story that the fan would have for the rest of his life.
Ouch.... so cool to know. So they did a little too much to that house .... but going overboard is the best way to go.... peace and love for this info.

TBH, if I my band had Slipknot money and we could make THIS VIDEO and pay and extra 50k, I would say YEP. I make music videos/commercials, etc. "You're going to make renovations? If you let us wreck the thing and you'll come out actually ON TOP, everyone wins."

FUN FACT: This song was from the Vol 3: Subliminal Verses album, after the Slipknot and Iowa albums, critics said Corey Taylor relies on curse words to write his lyrics. So as a big ‘fuck you’ to critics, Corey wrote the entire album with only two curse words, the first being ‘bastards’ in Pulse of the Maggots and the other being ‘bitched’ in this song, Duality. True story.

Man you should the song "Wither" by Corey Taylor and Tech-n9ne. One of the best rap songs ever in my opinion. Tech said he's been a Maggot(Slipknot fan) since 99 when he would open for them sometimes. Tech made the beat and intstramental on it and you can tell he clearly understands the sound of Slipknot, hell if you ask me he could be in the band if he wanted to.

The house was scheduled for demolition so the owners donated it for the video, also the guy in the opening scene was a fan that wrote the band from the UK asking to be in a video and they paid for him to fly to America and be in the video

Since you're a producer you may like to know this song and the entire album it's from were produced by the famous Rick Reuben. While it is extremely well produced, Corey Taylor, the singer for the band, has said on numerous occasions that he considered it a horrible time working with him.
Wow... that's crazy, maybe the producer is a little too serious with his work. A lot of producers can get hard like a mean couch or something to get the results they need and want. Its a hard job trust me on that one .... thanks for watching and all

If I'm not mistaken, this was during the time MTV still did their little contests where bands would play at a lucky winners home town, typically at a rented lot or convention center of some kind. Not this time, they went to this kids home, the one first seen at the start and the same kid at the end. Anyway apparently the kids parents were planning on remodeling at some point, so not only were the parents NOT home for this, they had no idea this was going down. However the band paid for the remodeling or gave the family enough money to start or something like that.
