  • After upgrading my Trek Rail 7 to the MAX, I had a bunch of left-over components that I wanted to swap onto another frame. This fram is from DIY Carbon Bikes & is the best, most readily available frame you can get for a full power class 1 E-MTB. They also have an F-160e frame with an SL motor. This is a full install and tutorial on this bike and the BAFANG M600 motor. With 120nm of torque, it's the most powerful E-MTB motor on the market to date.

    The display goes on the right side of the stem, just next to it. That´s why the connectors go vertically into it. You probably have to remove a rubber spacer from the display's collar, so that it can fit the thicker part of the handlebar. That way the cables are completely out of the way and protected. If you ever have to replace the display, go for the DCP245 v3. Not only it's a color display, with better and leaner remote buttons, but also alows parameter tweaking by the Bafand Go+ app through bluetooth 5.1.

    The Ultra motor (G510, M620) has the same “extra” wires on the main harness and yes it is for front and rear lighting.
    I also sent you info on your other video about fitting different motors to different frames using adapters hope ya got it.

    I don't get why the frame is twice the price of the Dengfu. Seems nearly the same.

    I recently got gen 4. Rail 9.8 in red color. Im very tall, got XL. What an absolute tank of a bike it is. I also have 2022 Trek Slash 9.8 XT which is an animal in itself. But rail exceeded my expectations. I was very worried because i payed alot of money for it although i got it on a Trekfest nice price cut. But after i picked the bike from the story. Jesus my remorse was gone in ten minutes. It made feel like Jim Carrey from Bruce almighty when he gets his powers and the song "i got the power" played haha. Only thing i didnt like was that select+ rear shock. Does not feel good compared to my ultimate on trek slash. Ill swap it sometime soon to Vivid ultimate. Also Trek bikes are usually pretty eyecatchy. I was getting alot of attention for my Slash. But this thing, with flashy red color in XL looks like a transformer. I cant even count how many people commented the bike looks past month lol. Trek makes best looking bikes imo. pretty much lamborghini of bikes.
    My problem with those third party companies making carbon frames is that its risky, because high end brands do alot of testing on their frames for defects which can save lives.

    Do you know the exact specs of the rear shock you are using? I have this frame and have tried two 205x62.5 rear shocks both hit the frame at the top of travel. Any help would be amazing.

      Rear shock is supposed to be a 205x57.5

      @@josephhenderson7284 i have tried three different ones from DVO and Ohlins 205x62 205/57.5 and another 205x57.5 and all impact the frame at the top of the travel. due to the diameter of the shock body or coil. Ty has been very responsive from DIY but im trying to figure out what a known exact shock that works is to purchase.

      ended up ordering the Ohlins TTX1 205x60 which is inverted so the skinny part at the top hopefully clears.

    What are the specs on the battery it uses? I see the kit comes with one, but if you buy frame only, how do you source a battery?

    • @CrushedEMTB
      @CrushedEMTB  3 месяца назад

      If you buy the motor with the frame, it comes with a battery. It’s a 620 W hour battery.

    Error 21 is the speed sensor.
    Re-align the spoke magnet to center over the sensor and you’ll probably be good
