If modern Persian goes through sound changes and consonant shift to Middle Persian, the words will become more clear and closer to its original cognates like B = V, B= P, F = V, GU = V etc.
So Wind in Persian is Bād but in Sassanian Persian, it was pronounced as Vād which now sounds similar to English’s Wind. There’re tons of examples like this. Like in Russian and other slavic languages, the color white is Svet while in Persian, it is Safed but in Middle Persian, it was Sved which is exactly as its Slavic counterpart. Flower in Modern Persian is Gul but was Vard in Middle & Old Persian and in arabic, Flower is Warada which is a loanword from Middle Persian and ultimately came from Proto-Indo-European root *wrod.

Yeah, both languages have lots & lots of cognates. Most of the time, Persian loanwords in Urdu & Hindi has more to do with Iranian sound shift rather than a different word S = H, S = Kh sound shifts happens in Iranian languages.
Some word entered in Hindi for just sound changes like Week is Hafta but is Saptaha in original Sanskrit.
      Hindi & Urdu: Hansna (Laughing)
      Persian: Khanda
Hindi & Urdu: Idhar, Udhar (Here, there)
      Persian Inja, Unja
      Hindi & Urdu: Kahān (Where)
      Persian: Kujā
      Hindi: Kaun (Who)
      Persian: Ki
But moreover, Persian has kept some of its older words which has Sanskrit counterparts but is missing in Hindi.
      Sanskrit: Āstī (Being)
      Persian: Āstī (You’re / Being)
      Sanskrit: Vāta (wind)
      Persian: Bāt (wind)
      Sanskrit: Navajāta (Newborn)
      Persian: Navzād (Newborn)
This list goes on and on and on.

@@Passque666 ya words like unna mana , mah, varsha , roaz , yani, shudh , sukhi - Khushi have there roots from Sanskrit and from the North India the language starts changing to Persian , and for us northern Indians Persians is like bengoli , we can understand the same amount of bengoli as Persian 😂😂

    • @Passque666
      @Passque666 5 месяцев назад +2

@@karticksharmapro1523Māh means month but also the moon. Varsha is interesting cause the original word is from Sanskrit & Old Persian but in modern Persian, we say Bariš which is also used in Hindi/Urdu but in Middle Persian, it was Varš which than sounds closer to Sanskrit. We don’t say shudh but we do say Khub Shugun / Bad shugun as in good luck or bad luck but is used rarely these days so nowadays, we use mostly Arabic word (Qismat) khush qismat / bad qismat which is interestingly also used in Hindi & Urdu 😂😂
As a Persian speaker, Kashmiri sounded far similar to Persian than Urdu or Hindi to me but Anways, cheers.
