I’ve watched a lot of Japanese campers and Bush crafters using these toasters, you’d be surprise at all the different recipes they come up with. I came close to buying one of these a while back, I still wouldn’t mind having one. A grilled cheese sandwich and soup, that’s delicious....
We have the round ones, and they are at least 20 years old and still rock...except their not petromax...probably lodge or whatnot that Walmart sold that many years ago lol. We always put pie filling and had ourselves a lil piece of pie for desert...they are very versatile to say the least, I would think you could quite possibly fry an egg if you wanted, in one lol. I read the title as "Campfire Pigeon Toastie" which sounded great. I'm sure the cheese toastie tasted lovely but I have this real hunger for pigeon now!
Then we know our man in the UK again, a wonderful dinner over open fire, what could be better. That toaster iron seems to be really good also in a good model in cast iron, so you can't demand more, super. 👍

I was just having beans on toast as I watched this and I was like right back to the kitchen and had Bavarian ham and cheddar toastie so full now 😂
That’s an awesome camp fire food...Toasty’s are very good and you can put whatever you want inside....Looks Good.......Busta looks very Tired.........
