Give it a try mate it's absolutely killer bites are usually positive and aggressive I first tried it about 10 years ago love it now couple of tips long bristle float's are a must use hemp and corn for feed if fishing on the bottom I also use a dry paste mix for feed keeps them on the deck and don't go crazy with the feed or the liner's will drive you nuts lastly I always mix a little bit of fibre paste in my mix goes like a bread mix hangs together better so you can make it wetter and get lots of good bites I even use it in winter and catch load's on it. Gets frustrating at times mate but stick at it and you'll love it tight lines hope you bag up 👍🎣 (Chloe's Dad)
Love paste fishing even though it can be the most frustrating method ever when the fish get on it it's devastating won me a few matches practice makes perfect I always add a bit of fibre paste to my mix then you can go softer and still keep it on the hook top video Rob tight lines. (Chloe's Dad)
Thanks Rob great vid again 👍 This is what I did first day back after lockdown n loved it🎣 PS I watched Jo's video on past fishing during lockdown and couldn't wait to get back on the bank and have a go. Tight lines Rob cheers👍
Awesome BGR, I was just looking at my paste rigs last weekend and thought it's most likely warm enough to give it a try Keep catching and big love Ralfy
That’s what I’m doing tomorrow rob. My lake is a lot deeper though so I have to stiffen my paste up and bomb it through the hordes of tiny Rudd lol. Great videos mate.
Hi rob. If I was using a really big lump of paste for double figure edge dwellers......would I benefit from having a quick stop on a hair to help the paste stay around the hook ? Great vid again as usual 👍🏼
Rob I get using hemp for carp, but in a venue with barbel do they switch onto paste.. Also how many times a day do you need to plumb up, especially if fishing soft bottoms..
I’d still try paste for the barbel , it could be a mega way of catching them. As for soft lake beds I try and move to the side a little once i feel the bottom has been disturbed too much - maybe move a couple of feet and start again
Hi Rob not something i do a lot of but like you say it's deadly on its day. I'm still experimenting this what weight float would you use in say 3 to 4ft of water and would you place the weight halfway down the rig and pot further back up your kit to prevent tangles. Great vid as useal mate.
I've always been put off fishing paste, 10 minutes later and I'm confident enough to give it go, cheers Rob

Yeah if you’re struggling to keep it on hair rigging something or putting a couple of dead reds on the hook to mould around works
Thanks Rob 👌👌
Nice one Jimmy 👍
Great video mate

Barbel love hemp. What are you on about 🤣
No need to plumb either. Bristle is a dead giveaway 👍
Hi rob what hook was you using on this shoot please mate
A guru kaizen 👍

The lighter the better i say - I think the weight has to be mainly in the Floats stem. So a wire or fibre glass stem.
Rob, is there a maximum depth for paste fishing??
I don’t like it in mega deep water Jason. The shallower the better but I’ve caught well in six feet on calm days
