    Improve Your PASTE FISHING - Rigs, Tips and Tactics!
    For this latest episode we take the cameras down to Reepham fisheries with the aim of catching some commercial carp on paste!
    There's no doubting that on the right day, under the right conditions paste can be a deadly method of catching, however at the same time it can also be an extremely frustrating method if not fished quite correctly. So in this video we pass on a few of our paste fishing tips and tricks that we've learnt to make fishing slightly easier!
    To find out a exactly how we got on and if we managed a few fish, watch the latest episode from the waters edge…
    As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.

    Great video and good to see you lads back.
    Have you tried no shot at all on the rig?
    The weight of the paste cocks the float and work for me.
    Brilliant video lads.

      Hi Jason, thanks for the kind comments as always, glad you enjoyed the video. :-) Thats another great way of fishing paste, as that way, if your paste is gone you can clearly see so as the float isn't cocked properly!

    I have been using the method with the olivette for 2 years and it is perfect. Especially in natural waters with many different species of fish and great depths. You can also use drilled bullets

    Does the olivette not pull the hook out of the paste?

    How are you plumbing it ? Dead depth or an inch or or 2 on the deck ?

    • @FromTheWatersEdgeTV
      @FromTheWatersEdgeTV  4 года назад +1

      Dead depth I think mate! I'll check with Steve for you though.

  • @CB-xr1eg

    Steve, as you have some 4mm pellets soaked, why not make some into a paste and use them as an alternative? Sometimes the fish get can shy of a certain bait and you stop catching so its good to have something a bit different, especially as the paste would be a different colour. Just a thought.
    I'll be fishing tomorrow and I'll have some green swim stim paste and also some soaked 2mm feed pellets.

      Nice idea Clive, I'm sure that would work too! Good luck tomorrow, hope you manage a few! :-)

    Hi, when I fish with solid bag, do I have to also put extra bait in with a spod or something or will the solid bag bait be enough?

    • @CB-xr1eg
      @CB-xr1eg 4 года назад

      What do you mean by "solid bag"?

    • @FromTheWatersEdgeTV
      @FromTheWatersEdgeTV  4 года назад

      Hi Sebastian, it's up to you really. It all depends on the venue, the time of year, the conditions. There's so many variables, there's not a simple yes or no answer I'm afraid. Altho in general solid bags are great fished on there own.

    Hi quick question what have u used to stop the running Olivet hitting ur hook

    • @Tom7Mc
      @Tom7Mc 4 года назад

      He's hot a rubber stop on the line to cushion the Olivet and keep it away from the hooklenght

      With some fishcare products? If so regularly when big carp fishing.

      Patience is a virtue. Always worth the wait. Or if you can't wait, upload some videos yourself?

    • @FromTheWatersEdgeTV
      @FromTheWatersEdgeTV  4 года назад

      Haha, no mate, not retired. The world-wide pandemic hasn't helped us uploading. We try and upload as regular as we can, but it takes a lot of time, which we don't always have. There's only 2 of us, we have full time jobs and families. Each video takes a full day to film and then probably 2 days minimum of editing, which is normally done over the evenings when we get a spare couple of hours.
