Baradul, I want to say that I love it when you show off light mechs. The skirmish and assassin gameplay you demonstrate is excellent. Honestly, I think both of these games show off both the capabilities of the Kit Fox and this build, but also show off your own superb skills. Even when you were frustrated with your team's falling back in the first game, you used terrain and cover to flank and harass your opponents. It's incredible.
@@jesse8068 You lose your set of 8 bonus. But you keep any bonuses each omnipod has. The thing is, mixing the pods so you get the ECM, AMS, a jump jet or two, and the weapons of your choice will often get you a much better mech. One that has a lot more versatility. And generally one that is stronger than one with the Set of 8 bonuses, without all the extras.
Actually, great performance from the Kitfox missile-slinger. That you scored that high reflected your plan and aggressiveness in that match, and while outperformed much of the team, the OPFOR team was pretty shamed, loosing their entire company for one lance dropped. This reiterates the value of having a SRM volley in the right place and time.
I'll give it a try, assassin srm x4 was my first mech on MWO. My favorite kit fox is one with 3 ams ecm and 2 er large lasers for a long range harasser/support mech
You can keep that arm and still have 4 SRM6. If you don't want to fully slide away from what you're used to. You would need G torsos and the D left arm.
I had a longstanding Kit Fox G (D arms) with 6 SRM6 that I used for face brawling assault mechs. I had gotten quite good at dancing around with it. I retired it a few months ago to try out this Kit Fox. It's different, but still good. Nice to see you representing! :D
KFX-D has been a great SRM boat for a long time. Before the cooldown quirks got added I used to have to play it hit-and-run, but the recent-ish stacked cooldown quirks really helped you get those second and third volleys in before diving back to cover.
My current Kitfox is the Purifier with the S right arm and leg, G left arm, and carrying ECM, LAP, 4x ERML, and a HLL (in the right arm), plus 4 exra heatsinks and full armor. It give me some really nice ranged burns without getting too hot, and staying off the radar. Backs are nice and squishy targets these days. I've managed top damage in the game a couple of times with this build (but mostly assists unfortunately)
If you want a good trick is to swap the leg out for an S-Omni because it gets JJ's You go from maintaining 9.6->8.4 DPS but able to achieve 43 m of jump (Before skills) You can drop the the other leg for 8.4->7.6 DPS but achieve 77.5m jumps (Before skills) IMO if you want a boots on the ground mech version of this The Cougar H packs ECM, which allows it to safely stay out of position, more armor but you do lose 17KPH But instead of losing 90% your ST to 1 AC 20 it will instead take out 45% allowing you to survive double AC20's which are your biggest threat as a missile mech. As it can hold same ammo, give ECM + have an active probe. You really just choose between 5/10% CDR and 5/10% spread. IMO spread is the better choice to match a kitfox at 10% but that's just me. You lack the CD for alpha DPS vs the kitfox but make up for it having your missiles on your arm and side torsos so losing your arm isn't as big of a deal vs the kitfox.
Interesting how the last 2 missiles, shot out as definitely more than two on the screen. I wonder how does that work, which ones were the real ones? Haha
personal kit fox record was 1200 tag is must have, use it to distract enemy from flanking atacks mobility helps to gain good position BEHIND enemy line, wide arms are very good to peek attacks if u gain focus attention u r done
Since when has the Kit Fox been considered bad? The only people I've seen say the Kit Fox is bad are people who suck with Light 'mechs to begin with. 😄 Good video otherwise. 🙂
@@robertagren9360 Yeah other than people who don't like Clan 'mechs, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say the Kit Fox is a bad 'mech. I can see some new players thinking that because it's still a squishy Light 'mech, but even Baradul's games showed he did a lot of damage with his SRM + Artemis D variant.
@@Genesis23OPB Just under 97 KPH is not slow for a Light 'mech. Especially when it has the profile of a light 'mech, meaning small and easy to overlook yet can still do 800+ damage games. My daughter and her God Aunt, from what I've seen can routinely do 700+ damage games pretty consistently in a Kit Fox. The trick is you have to play it like a light 'mech though, otherwise it's easy to get popped. Especially in a short-range SRM build like Bara is showing in this video and not more of a sniper build with Clan ER PPCs. It's simple to customize too. Just buy the Hero Purifier then buy the omni pods you want.
@@MisterNi 97kmh is slow for a light mech because there are mediums that can do the same. its not slow full stop, but its slow for a light. basic concept of tradeoff, you trade speed for firepower
@@necrolokYeah the IS has enough mechs already, you guys got six different 100-ton mechs before we got our 2nd *ever* 100-ton mech (Stone Rhino). You get *plenty* of love from biased PGI, it’s our turn.
That first match man... I've never seen a match go so long with such a low kill-count. Eight minutes in and only three kills for both sides? Everyone just poking and prodding. I've never seen a game where both sides were so passive.
Every enemy that poked in long enough to be 'r'ed looked to have brawling setups. bBoth sides needed to get in close, but they were creeping up to each other at a crawl.
I played just today and when we got the Solaris City map, the game wouldn't drop me . Just stayed stuck on the loading screen. I wonder if something has changed on that map?
Question to you All. or meybe @Baradul can answer it. Somehow my MWO simply CANT produce smooth edges. Things like buildings and anything with adges get "jagged" like if AA would be off. This obviously makes game ahrd to play because it creates the effect that eveyrhing is moving. I easily surpass games recommended requirements, i just do not know which setting aside of Antialiasing affects this.
Math, Bara, math! A -35% modifier to cooldown doesn't translate into a +35% increase to rate of fire, it translates into a +54% bonus to rate of fire. Think about it: if you had a -50% modifier to your cooldown, you'd be able to fire twice as often... a +100% bonus to rate of fire. -25% cooldown means +33.3% rate of fire. Etc. Also... four SRM6 + Art.IV launchers? On a 30t mech? Clans are such BS.
Strange. First game you hardly fired on enemies and got 880 score, the second one I thought you pumped out hit after hit and only got 700. Are we sure the numbers are reported correctly?
i was on this game on the opposite team ,it was headless chicken gameplay, but light mechs are way too op on output dammage than it should be , its becoming ridiculous xD

I just took this build for a first drop and dished out 713 points of damage with 4 kills and 4 assists! Brutal.
It is probably the best support mech in the game. The one thing I highly recommend doing is taking at least one omnipod with a jump jet in it.
Came here to say that! I love the splatFox. I have mine with jump jets so I can poptart.

A kit for with maxed out jump jets can jump a truly absurd distance. It's great for surprise attacks.

Nothing beats the Killfox :-)
The LBX5+snub Marauder II made my day. It performed as expected, the only thing missing was it had AMS instead of LAMS.
Never played Online but the power creep in this game as opposed to what is possible on light mechs in Battletech/MechWarrior 5 is insane.

This Kit Fox is made for LRM10. It's too fragile for getting any incoming damage, but has a lot of firepower and can change position quickly
