I'm glad you're still "enjoying" this game (or pain it causes)
There is little enjoyment left, it is only pain. Fortunately that is enjoyable, sometimes... sometimes..
I think the big fun is cracking these game modes like puzzles, figuring out how they work, strategizing best approaches to solve problem and then actually executing it, which requires high level of skill too.
But biggest skill asset is big brain to figure out how to even do this.
This is what I believe Carrier finds fun, exciting and worth trying to beat even after numerous resets.
Despite the fact that the --ham is obviously grilled-- Overwatch custom practice game mode on it's own is rather boring bland affair where to squeeze and find fun factor is like seeing a sunshine on a very, very cloudy day, you have to have right mindset, perspective and healthy amount of patience.
Just make sure the spot is right and you are looking the right way to catch a sunlight
on demand agony is addicting, like reading a garbage comic knowing all the damn drama cliches it's going to throw at you.

The brain cells had a rough time, but the reward of the brain cells vibrating at the end was worth it xD
I'm assuming the 11 hours is because it doesn't count the loading screen, character select, menu time and so on.
Like you said at the start, this does take up quite a lot of the time (especially when it's early resets).
Yeah it's most likely that, it was just in the moment. (I didn't check my playtime prior either)
