I'm 72 years old and would love to be able to go over to their farm and help them with whatever. I love repairing and " on the fly " engineering. 99% of the things that need repair isn't rocket science at all. I would love to be able to clean up all the junk and trash and fix those gates. I hate gates that aren't installed right. Why fight damn gates? Get them done right!!! And the weeds and grass that need to be sprayed and cut everywhere around the house, pens, barns etc. Honestly, there's no reason whatsoever that stuff is growing.

No matter the size of the farm things break down, no matter the job there are parts that are unpleasant, if it weren’t for the bad we wouldn’t recognize the good, yall have so much to be thankful for. Laurence and I aren’t much different in age but he reminds me so much of my Dad. My Dad was a cotton farmer, tough as a pine knot, kind and as giving as anyone I have ever known. He had done so much, with so little, for so long, he could do just about anything with nothing.

It just makes my day when I can see a new video. Lawrence sooo reminds me of my farmer Daddy. He was a “no nonsense man”. You got the work done, he didn’t believe in “horsing around”. In Wayne County, NC we say “pick” for for any grain that is done by mechanical machine. He farmed until his death in 1963. Oooooooo that really dates me. Your kids are sooooo sweet. They will grow up with such great work ethics. Their expressions are priceless. God bless. Watching this on Saturday, 11-6, very windy, has clouded up and a little nippy.

Man! It has taken me three day to get this watched all the way through! Life in busy! 5 kittens and a dog and a big farm house and yard…. Anyway, I loved that you got the Kawasaki Mule belt fixed before it left you stranded! Watching the leaves being rustled along as the Mule drove down the driveway was enjoyable to see and hear!

Meredith, another food group to add to hamburger steak and gravy with smashed potatoes is mushrooms to the gravy, for those that like mushrooms and stewed tomatoes.
I like eating and dislike the bland food of southwest Virginia. I use spices to add a kick to just about every thing I cook. Salt and pepper isn't the only spice in my kitchen cabinet.

Lawrence was trying to line up a tractor to its handling system my uncle used to spray paint those where they lineup so when you’re in the cab you can see where they need to line up easier so you’re not reversing about 50 million times Hope this helps

At the hobby shop or hardware store. You can get maple draw pulls that look like original lid handles. We did it. Just oil the wood to make it water resistant

The Brick farm also has break downs. Also they spend a lot of time setting things up only to have something break. Also their farm is mechanical and that can break as well. Farmers have patience beyond words. May God bless you and your family

You keep being you, I would use the same terminology that you use to describe things. Love how everyone pitches in to get the job done. Supper looked delicious, I wouldn't change a thing, there is no such thing as too much gravy. Have a great weekend.
