    how to get naturally curly hair:come out of the womb with it 😂😂😂😂

    • @PrincessZairee
      @PrincessZairee 9 лет назад +21

      Not even. My brother was born with nappy hair and then he started taking care of it and moisturizing his hair, putting coconut oil and stuff and know his hair is like his. So you don't have to be born out the womb with it.

    • @kaylinamayes
      @kaylinamayes 9 лет назад +43

      Zaireejay Laster Nappy? It's just another word for curly because curly hair is more course and usually harder to comb out. you do come out of the womb with curly hair.. it's in fact party of your genes and is passed down from one of your ancestors.

    • @jazminejones6549

    I have curly hair and people ask me all the time "How do you make your hair curly?" All I do i put water on it which is really all he needs to do because he has that texture. These products enhance his curls not create them

      @RonVuggotta  9 лет назад +8

      Right, people just need to keep experimenting with what they like and what works best for them like I did. What may work for me will not work for the entire world but I'm sure it'll help a lot of people figure out what they could do to style their hair

      Ron Vuggotta Thx. When I started my hair journey 3yrs ago transitioning from permed hair to natural hair I wanted my hair to have good hair or perfect curl. The hair type I have 4b/4c or people call it nappy. You can achieve a curl by doing a twist out or using rollers etc. I've learned to accept my hair for what it is. I hate when people make comments like that, when YT has so many channels out there that can help to identify your hair type & teach you.

      +Sonnesha Hendricks unless your hair is straight and/or wavy it is curly. There are however different types or curls. People with quote/unquote "nappy hair" actually have curls. They are just very unkept curls. Some people genuinely don't know what to do to get there and keep it up where as others just don't care.

    Ive been looking at videos like this and reading the comments. First things first..people can't "get" natural curls from anything. Your hair has to naturally come with a curl pattern. If you were born with bone straight hair and never was able to achieve any curl pattern at all even when it is dripping wet, then your hair will not curl. If your hair has a curl pattern that you want to keep, the number one thing you want to do is keep your hair very moisturized and healthy. Everybody does not have the same curl pattern as well. If you have a naturally tight curl or coil, your hair will not look like his. I wish I had a loose curl pattern like his but naturally mine is tighter but thank the gods my hair doesn't shrink when it dries.

    • @KishBish
      @KishBish 9 лет назад +6

      right, alot of ppl are gonna be really disappointed when they spend money on these products, thinking their hair is going to curl up exactly like his lol.. he said he is biracial- he was born with this type of curl pattern, and the products only help to define the curls/waves he would already naturally have.. lol kids.

      So true

    • @romanreyes5292
      @romanreyes5292 9 лет назад +2

      K Sykes not true lol i am multiracial (black and dominican with some other ig white influence on my moms side) but im brown skin with big loose curls,my brothers hair is tight coils but he looks "biracial" with damn near white skin and light grey eyes.i say that to say hair texture is a funny thing so dont generalize i know some mixed kids with super nappy hair

    • @KishBish
      @KishBish 9 лет назад +5

      RomanReyes I did not mean to imply ALL people of mixed race have a certain type of curl pattern, or don't have kinky hair- of course, we do! but a lot have more of what we call 'naturally curly hair' than those who are not of mixed heritage (one ancestor with straight hair and one with a tighter curl/kinky). My background is mixed- my hair has a looser curl, while one of my brothers has hair like the guy in this video, and the other two have tighter coils.. My overall point is your curl pattern is genetic.. You cannot make yourself have naturally curly hair- you either have it or you don't.. Products will only define a curl.. I did not mean to make this a race issue, but yes, it can make a difference.

    • @marchecadenhead3692
      @marchecadenhead3692 8 лет назад +9

      +NY Boricua Yeah.. There are many different types of curl patterns that we may have. Like my hair is very kinky but others may have a looser curl like his. 😊 There is an actual chart of the different types of hair patterns and it covers all hair types!

      Shawn McKenzie wet and condition your hair...then while hair is still damp...use some Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie throughout your hair...and then throw some Eco styler gel on on top of the Shea moisture...dont try to be cute with the eco gel throw a glob on it...comb thru evenly...the ecostyler will hold your curls to make your curls stay all day and the shea moisture will keep your hair soft and prevents your hair from being crunchy from the gel...I Dont have 4c but this should def work

    • @gsteel98
      @gsteel98 7 лет назад +1

      the gel does help I have 4c/4b . I liked the gel for the r results I stopped using it cuz it was just too weird to keep putting in and messy. but anybody know why my curls were like legit mad curly while I had shampoo in my hair but after I rinsed and put conditioner they went away..fr pissed me off those curls were nice af why they just leave like that..

    you may have a dandruff problem because you are not scrubbing your scalp with the conditioner.. it may sound gross but something that can really help moisturize your scalp is mayo lol! ... scrub your scalp with mayo and let it sit for 10 minutes.. itll be amazing for your hair as well for moisturizing.. but should help with your dry scalp (dandruff)

    • @TeeCG
      @TeeCG 9 лет назад +4

      Darus James Some have the z pattern which doesn't produce curls....more like crinkles unless you are calling the crinkles curls. Crinkles do not look like the curls this guy has. He has kinky curly hair just like mine and is enhanced/defined with products.

    • @TeeCG
      @TeeCG 9 лет назад +1

      Darus James Is it curls or crinkles? I think many confuse curls with crinkles (many people call their crinkles curls) although it doesn't matter. Beautiful hair is healthy hair to me.

    • @TexxVlogz

      rhoyal6 coils not crinkles which just a tighter curl

    • @TeeCG
      @TeeCG 9 лет назад

      ***** Those zig zags are what some call crinkles. If you do a search on youtube, you'll find women with 4c hair who get that crinkle/crimped look when they do their wash n go's. Some of these women also refer to these crinkles as curls when it's really the zig zag pattern they have.

    People no product or hair routine will give you naturally curly hair. You either have it or you don't. If you have it, there are products that will enhance the curls you already have. Wet your hair or put any kind of gel in it and if your hair doesn't curl up, you don't have naturally curly hair. This video should be called "How to define or enhance your naturally curly hair." I'm just chiming in because I don't want people to waste time and money although using conditioner, olive oil, and keeping your hair moisturized is great for everyone.

    I know i am some years back but you mentioned some good key points. not to touch your hair when rinsing is so important and true because it will mess up the curl pattern, which i forgot about in the last few years . Another good thing is if the curls have lost their way just individually twist them on your fingers.

Us nappy heads envy people like u so much. Oh how I wish I could have curly hair... my life would be so much better. It's funny how a youtube video could turn into the "School Daze" movie. ***** I get the point of the video the young man was doing. My comment was really directed toward one particular young lady who wrote a comment that I thought was silly as hell. Some people take this curly hair and skin complexion shit way to far. It's no long funny that black folks are still carrying a 400 year old slaves mentality. The closer to white the better. The lack of progression is very alarming to me. They don't even get it. Some people are wide awake yet still sleep.

    Nothing will MAKE your hair "naturally" curly if it isn't. A person could do a curly perm, but that is a chemical. What you are talking about is how a person with naturally curly hair can define their curls.

  • @lauriemsdiva
    @lauriemsdiva 7 лет назад +38

    All black people are not born with curly hair. I am black ( not biracial), l have black parents and my siblings and l all have the same biological mother and father. There are five of us siblings, we all wear our hair in its natural state and we all have different hair types and textures. Two of my sisters have thick curly hair, however, one has a courser type then the other. My brother has curly hair that he keeps it cut very low. My middle sister and myself both have wavy hair and when were born we had straight hair. The only way I can get my hair to curl is to use perm rods/flexi rods.or rollers. Even if l do twist or braid outs, l still have use perm/flexi rods or something to get my hair to curl or l will just have a deeper wave pattern. My hair is 100% natural. l don't put chemicals in my hair and l NEVER straighten my hair so l don't get heat damage. I only use natural organic products that are protein and silicone free because I have low porosity hair. I know my hair very well because I spent years researching natural hair and how to care for it. I also have nieces and nephews who were born with straight hair. So, as l said, all black people are not born with curly hair.

      Leaving your hair "in its natural state" is not going to bring out your natural curl pattern all by itself, even if you're using all "natural" products. I've spent years learning the truth of this myself, from many angles, and with science backing it up wherever I could find it. Unless a person's hair is bone straight (coming from a straight follicle), it has to grow out of their head from follicles with a set curvature that leads to a specific pattern of waves, curls, or coils. But the tighter the curl pattern and the lower the porosity the hair, the harder it becomes to define it. And it's amazing how tight those curls can go.
      There's no such thing as hair that both isn't straight and doesn't grow in a pattern. I think a lot of people believe kinks and curls are the same thing when they're actually very different things. One disappears with adequate moisture, while the other is brought out by it. It is awesome to me for people to choose whatever aesthetic pleases them to go with, but to see people still being told the same artificial limits to what their hair can and can't do that I grew up with? I've been through that myself and I don't wish it on anyone.

      Laurie G All black people have curly hair......coming for a BLACK female that's natural. There is different types of hair for blacks.
      3c (loss curls, mostly mix people)
      4a ( a little bite tighter curls)
      4b ( coily which is tight tight curls)
      4c (coils that's are so tight it looks matted)
      Mositure your hair make sure all properly!!!!

    • @lapanthanim
      @lapanthanim 7 лет назад +3

      ^^^ It's hard to believe at first since there's so much misinformation about "coarse" African hair out there but hi bye is correct. There's so much misinformation about the various textures of African hair (all of which are curly or coily) that you can literally go decades thinking your hair is just "kinky" (I sure did) until you finally see how moisturized it can REALLY get and witness first individual curl formation and then even clumping as they **gradually** reveal themselves over time with adequate moisture retention (including both an appropriate maintenance regimen and foods and products that support it). It doesn't matter how "coarse" the hair is. I had hairdressers telling me my hair couldn't curl all my life, and always had to use the longest period of time when relaxing my hair, way back when I used to do that.
      If you learn about how hair grows out of the follicle (where it is permanently shaped), it should be clear to understand that hair only comes out of all human scalps in a *patterned* form and not with random bends and zig-zags in it. It's just that the tighter the coil (and the farther off one is from the mid level of porosity), the more dryness-prone the hair will be. But all healthy and consistently-hydrated hair stands somewhere on a spectrum from bone straight to pen spring-tight coils (and this can vary slightly by region all over the head, for each individual).
      (Note none of this is to say there is anything wrong with choosing to keep one's hair on the dry side as a styling choice. African hair being as prone to dryness as it is, and most products being so poorly tailored to us as they are, it's only natural many of us should embrace our less hydrated hair's behaviour as well. Only pointing out another choice exists for those who want it.)
