Happy Birthday to me! If you’re a regular to my live streams, or follow me on Twitter, then you know that today is my Birthday and that on this day: “I ain’t doing / thinking about shit!” Unless I felt like it of course. In accordance with this rule, I felt like leaving this comment. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video. Once again I was worried about publishing this one. But you know what? I don't have time to be afraid anymore.
I read a long time ago in a National Geographic magazine, I think, about smells and attraction. Ever since then I started paying more attention to smell. When I’m in public and people walk past me, I would pay attention to the scent they leave behind and joke to myself about whether we’d get along or not. The article said that dogs are the ultimate match makers then, if they so inclined to help us in that way. Have a good one!
Edit: You know, another idea I had is your sixth sense could be all your senses combined. Like a Captain Planet type of thing.
Papito Qinn Happy Birthday!!!
Papito Qinn happy birthday!
Happy Birthday Papito Qinn!! Have a wonderful day!😊
Happy Birthday man!

Hope she's doing well in some other career though.
Always Stoked to see another Kreias Conundrums.
They should make a video called Kreia and the Seventh Seal.
" And when he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about the space of half an hour."
-- Revelations 8:1
Kreia: What silence? The silence you hear is the silence of being alone. The silence of the force.
I wonder what Kreia would say about the end times, the rest of Revelations, or even the rest of the Bible. I wouldn't be surprised she would question, critique, admonish, and challenge almost everything in it, even the words of Jesus Christ.
@@Hylanvahr Oh, especially the words of Jesus Christ. The man was a pacifist and his philosophy basically centered around the merits of kindness. Kreia isn't entirely against kindness, of course. But I think that she would consider Jesus' ideas to be a bit too extreme. We know that she often feels that it weakens people for later trials. I think she's right, but I also think that she takes that too far sometimes.
Dude we NEED more people like you.....especially in the realm of Philosophy....Kreia's way of thinking is the "safest" for us as humans.
I always thought these scenes in the game like meditating, feeling others through the Force as quite fascinating. But, at the same time, they might be hinting at why Kreia hates the Force. In reality, knowing others requires many hours and various forms of interactions while none of that works perfectly. Yet, this long and hard process is an integral part of life, in which 'you' will find your own answer.
With the presence of the Force, human interactions have different meanings. Knowing and feeling others using the Force can harm the important journey of the individual because knowing others in a traditional sense is also a process of knowing yourself. I think the Force can erode one's self, for example, Disciple strongly insists that he follows the Exile, not because of the Force but because he wants to. It was a strong argument with emotional value, but in the game's narrative, I can't deny that the Force might be the reason behind the Exile's strong leadership and the loyalty from her companions. To my understanding, this kind of deep disruption of 'self' by the Force, or even the possibility of it would totally upset people like Kreia, who has a strong sense of self and pride.
We should have a discord channel or something where we can share any observations we may make in our lives without having to wait for a video upload. A couple days ago I've made the horrible realization that in order to have emotion (fear, anger, sadness, happiness, love, passion, hate, etc) you need to care. (I mean it's kind of hard to feel fear if you do not care if you live or die. Sadness at someone's death if you don't care about that person. Happiness if you don't care about your well being or success. Anger at a situation/person if you don't have a preferred outcome to that situation or from that person. and so on.) Thus when you display apathy in KotOR 2 the reason why the force claims that it is equivalent to death may be because you reject all emotion. You reject passion and you reject peace since how can you experience either if you do not care about anything? Peace is meaningless if you don't have a preference to be at peace and passion cannot exist if you are filled with apathy.
Anyway, regarding the actual video. People tend to express their personalities with their appearances. If someone puts in a ton of effort into their appearance they are effectively telling those around them that they care about their look. If they buy expensive and generally pointless status items they want to display their wealth. If their appearance is lacking they either can't or don't wish to waste time/resources on it. and so on. So judging people based on appearance does can have some value to it and shouldn't be dismissed as incorrect or useless information. Still, it is a good idea to always be ready to set aside assumptions when judging the world around us even if those assumptions are usually correct (hence why they have become assumptions) there are obviously exceptions.
Also I completely agree on trying to find friends in places which you'd enjoy being in rather than in a random location that has no relation to what you enjoy. By being in a place of shared interest there's already a conversation starter and you can assume that person shares some of your interests. Although sometimes it can be really hard to find someone you get along with really well even in a place of shared interests.
Edit: Happy Birthday Papito Qinn! Keep these videos coming.
Interesting observation on the force and emotions.
I agree that, of course there's information to be gathered from the efforts that people may put into their appearances. That's part of their actions. It's just that it can be a very small part of who they are or it even be a complete smokescreen. Like people who dress up a certain way just to fit in with a group. That need of acceptance itself says something. But you won't be able to uncover that only by visual analysis. But hey, I'm not a detective or anything. So I'll say that it's possible that there's specific situations where you can tell a whole lot.
Lastly, thank you!
@@PapitoQinn true. Yea
I have and will probably never: see, hear or (most tragically) smell you, but I do love you for these awesome Kreia's Conundrum videos !
Thanks, man. I'm not sure how you would react to my natural musk either. But I do take regular showers. Still, I'll keep making these as long as I have the time, ideas, and can support myself. I can't quite do that last one independently yet, so consider sharing these videos. I'd really appreciate it.
It seems the fans are clambering for that Discord Server we spoke of ;)
“If you see only with your eyes, you are easy to fool”
He is a true student of the force
im a music therapist and ive written a few papers drawing inspiration from kreia. as a musician the choice of having to choose one sense to have over all others i would choose hearing in a heartbeat. i would rather be completely sensory deprived except for hearing than have all senses but hearing.
would love to conduct a study to see what other peoples occupations have on their choice
Did you absolutely outstanding work. I have watched your entire series. I very much like Krieas character. And her deconstructive view of both the Jedi the sith and the force. And how you relate your own personal experience. Well done keep up the good work
Thanks, man! Although Krista's her cousin.
No one is as good as telling kreia stories as 🌟's channel. He actually made it nameless, but, it's gotta be something
We call him "Dot"
As someone whose been single years upon years by choice... I needed to hear this. I thought i found someone i could be with but the more i got to know her the less i liked her. Thank you
Fantastic content. I love coming back here to discuss the philosophy and inner workings of a game that I never would have thought could be so complex. Love it as always, keep up the good work Qinn
I think that especially the people who played the game a long time ago and couldn't connect with it, should give it a replay. It might surprise them how much this game has to offer.
@@PapitoQinn I replay the game every 6 months or so, trying something slightly different each time. I usually play through the game light-sided, so doing a new dark side run sometimes gives me some different dialogue that I may have missed. Sometimes I throw some texture mods in there to spice up the experience.
The philosophy and humanities of the game are fascinating. I am currently in the process of writing a paper on absolute/relative truth, and how these concepts interfere with our constructs of "right and wrong." Is all truth absolute? Or is the whole point of truth to be dependent on the situation that is presented? Coming back to some of Kreia's wisdom/teachings really gives me some insight on these topics as a whole.
Similarly, what Kreia says about "trying to see the galaxy through a crack in the door" reminds me of Palpatine's line to Anakin in Ep. III: "...to understand the great mystery, one must study all its aspects, not just the dogmatic, narrow view of the Jedi." Kreia illustrates the contrast here about how you need both sides of the spectrum to see true intent, the galaxy, and the force. The exile's ability to see without the filter of the force allows her to at least see some of the contrast, which the Jedi Council could not.
The fact that the exile chose life over *the force* is still fascinating.
@@JS-iw1bx Well good luck with the paper. Hopefully I can read it once you're done.
@@PapitoQinn I'll shoot a copy to your business email once it's all set. It isn't on KOTOR 2 necessarily, but the points that Kreia depicts certainly have given me some insight on how to put my thoughts into words.
Damn. You've dropped one hell of a cliffhanger there. Hope to elaborate on that one day.
Just found your stuff btw. Gives a lot to think about and reflect, and for that thank you!
Thank YOU, man. I hope to elaborate on it one day too. Maybe you can help. Tell people about me. Friends, family, random people online or on the street. Every view matters.
Keep them comin' Papito. Great stories that you brought to the table. I have none of the sort.
Excellent as always.
Keep up the good work! Always love your videos.
Amazing how Kotor 2 has so much to get into.
I am so looking forward to that mentioned other video of yours.
Me too.
Another excellent kriea video papito you make the best kotor 2 content on RUclips
Thanks. Although I don't know who else makes KoTOR 2 content on RUclips. I've been trying to get people to start though. Tell your friends about me.
Papito Qinn I’ve actually been making kotor 2 videos on my channel i only have 2 right now but I’m releasing more in the future your videos inspired me to make my own kotor 2 vids
@@Star-cs3vh That's what I'm talking about. No matter what, just keep uploading.
Great video! I love your videos and enjoy watching all of them! Keep up the good work
Oh and also, Happy Birthday!
@Papito Qinn on behalf of all Britons everywhere thanks for the Channel 4 plug
As awesome as ever. Keep up the good work! Take care of yourself.
Binging your videos, as always, until I realize you posted a new video 👏🏻👏🏻
Very nice Qinn, hope you've enjoyed your merry day of birth! Haytham Kenway also says something about perception, stressing that it transforms the senses, leading one to perceive the world in a different way.
Love your vids
Hey man, just found your account today. Glad I did. Subbed!
Thanks, Nic! Glad you were able to dig me up. Tell your friends about me.
Great now I feel lonely. At least I have you Papito
I wouldn't say it is a smart thing to claim that our visual stimuli are a "barrier". Sight is a sense, and should be taken into account alongside the other senses and aspects of a person. The physical is half the foundation of a relationship after all; the foundation is not mental and emotional alone.
Happy birthday!
Could you please create a discord server? It would give the community you have built here a consistent place to discuss these topics
People have been suggesting that. I'll see what I can do. For now you can usually find me on the 100% Star Wars discord server.
@@PapitoQinn you can either hire a professional to create a discord server for you, or you do it yourself. There are some options.
There's the 'server templates' option, and then there is.. you create the server. If u want I'd be willing to help!
@@theblasteffect4499 Dude, this was 3 years ago. The discord server's been up and running ever since.
8:38 Fyi, there's no correlation between intelligence and wisdom , but middle school isnt the best place to find wisdom :P
Was lovely. You should make it a habit to end with this outro.
There's only so much I can steal from Shoddycast.
Did you ever make that video about love/passions? (In reference towards the end of the video)
Not yet. I'm still gathering data.
Man, you should have played that specific Fallout music them for the end of this video.
A shame the The Storyteller series ended on a off-note, though... I prefer ending it on Season 3 because of this.
MOIIIIIINNNNN. LEUDE
Well you are a bit snarky, arent you?
What d you mean? Because I pointed and laughed in her face? Yeah I'm entirely sure why I did that back then. Since it isn't something I would do today.
Quinn made this video to show us his rizz.
My what? 😕
When’s the next topic?
Oh hey, Battletech 2018 music. Guess you're a fan of the game?
Absolutely. I backed it when it was being campaigned for on Kickstarter. I really liked the Shadowrun Games by HBS and I loved Mechcommander 2 back in the day. Ended up playing BattleTech for over 1000 hours.
@@PapitoQinn Ah. Yeah i can't get either of those games to run on my pcs. But I loved playing MechCommander 1, and loved playing 3, 4 vengeance and black knight on pc. 4 mercenaries seems to work, just need to get a joystick that would be able to work and all.
When is the next stream?
Not sure. Maybe Monday or Tuesday. I'm at my brother's so things are tight around here.
Papito Qinn okay
Signifiant signifié référent. ANglosaxon neopositivist school of thoughs only focus on the signifié and isgnofiant forgeting the referent.
