I think that was Woody Herman's Fire Dance. Sky Ryders played it 80/81. Why year did Madison play it? Amazing song for G bugles

Got to see these guys live in my high school gym, they were going to play outside but it rained and boy am I glad it did, being that close to them sounded so cool, and the soloists were so clean.

It’s made up of roughly 90% former DCI performers
This hornline’s gotta be maybe 35-40 max but they sound like 50-60 members.
Selection reminds me of old-school Madison and sounds like La Fiesta. Great tune!
Bugles provide much more volume and power. You can have a hornline of 25 bugles and sound good. The bflat instruments, not so much.
The beauty of the old G Bugles......25 horns can sound like 60.....

I remember when they stood still and just focussed on playing music. Now they're running as well!

THIS is the way Drum Corps used to be -- percussion and bugles. Period. DCI has gotten so far away from its roots with the enormous sets that often don't bring anything to the show, the use of electronics...I could go on, but the USMC Drum & Bugle Corps always sets my blood on fire!
I can’t stand all of the dancing and prancing of today’s dci. It is unwatchable.
it's just a newer different style, both are totally valid
