The Voice of tens of thousands young adults' lives and memories! Many personal DCI collectors recordings wouldn't be the same without his passion.
I'll never forget the feeling upon hearing Brandt's voice in person for the first time announcing the name of the corps I was in as I stepped onto the field. His voice IS DCI. Lovely tribute for a wonderful human with a voice as big as a skyscraper.
Brandt has deserved this moment a hundred times over. Definitely worth it. He is Mr. DCI!
Two words:
PHANTOOOOOOOM REEEGIMENT!
When this started I thought they were announcing his retirement. Nope. Just a 1000000% deserved award.
Brandt Crocker is a drum corps treasure and an absolute legend. This honor is well deserved and long overdue.
Brandt is an absolute treasure. What Bob Sheppard was to Yankee Stadium, Brandt Crocker is to DCI.
I can not think of a drumcorps world without Mr Crocker! You are an inspiration to many with your voice and literally the voice of DCI! Your score reading has given me many tears and goosebumps since I was introduced to drumcorps in the early nineties, wishing you all the best from the Netherlands
DCI will never be the same once this man is gone
I was fortunate enough to announce a marching band contest for 25 years. I absolutely tried to emulate his cadence and phrasing in getting the bands on and off the field. Announcing the scores at the end of the night also was a study in trying to use his rhythm.
I can't tell you how mesmerizing it felt when I heard his voice when walking out on the field for the first time in DCI. I've only heard his voice in videos, and it's so different to hear him in person. Thank you for everything you've done.
That's awesome! Congratulations sir! And thank you for all you've done! 🏆 🏆 🏆
The announcer of the drum corps Japan championships mimics Brandt's announcement style too, it's amazing
Brandt deserves this award, no doubt about it! His passing is gonna send shockwaves throughout the DCI community. Rock on, dude!
So funny, just went to the show in Canton and i asked who the announcer was all these years. 😅 Well the answer i KNEW was wrong!! Thank you for all your years of making me love the WAY you announced, i have tried it myself to no avail!😂 Congrats on the award Brandt its well deserved! ❤
The many times he came to our high school at GRC and just said amazing things to us and what he loved to hear and see! I’ll never forget him! Ever!
Brandt, my friend, well deserved!
I used to dream of being under the lights at the oil can hearing his voice. Devastated I never got the chance. But as a fan the love is immense.
My rookie year was 1982, Montreal. And because Brandt didn't speak French, they had a substitute. Soooo disappointed.
Next year in Miami I finally heard him announce us properly.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 congrats Mr. Crocker… greatest to do it !!
the freaking best!!
Congratulations sir
