The block brakes are there for a reason, though. This coaster runs a lot of trains on it for maximum throughput. So the blocks are there to make sure that the trains are in synch and don't crash with each other. Also, since this coaster let's you pick your own music, the blocks also increase the time you get to listen to the song you picked, as well as allowing the audio to synch with the entire ride.

Great Ride! Personally, I think the best configuration of a roller coaster train is two smaller cars. First, it gives you a faster ride because there is no extra drag from lots of cars, but also because everyone on a two car train gets basically the same experience. Long trains mean the front and the back are getting completely different experiences at different times. Maybe that's a good thing for some enthusiasts, but fir me, I want a faster ride with less interruption while the back of the train catches up. I also think they can get lined moving faster and run more trains an hour as apposed to loading and unloading long trains, (some with 30+ riders at a time)
Yes! I completely agree. I rode the Velocicoaster this weekend for the first time, twice i might add. First time on it got the third row. Second time riding it, got the almost to last row. And let me tell you the drop on the velocicoaster was WAY worse in the back than it was towards the front. Same goes with Hagrid's Motorbike Ride.

Just did the ride today I didn’t feel the drop much at all it was really fun, but it really does bop your head back and fourth
After 3 years, I finally got to ride this last week 😁😁😁
I was really scared of the lift hill at first, but I had confidence and walked up to the ride anyway thinking there was no turning back. The first Drop didn’t feel scary to me afterwards, but then again, I ride a lot of coasters 🤣🤣🤣 The 2nd time I rode it, I didn’t even scream or anything I just remained silent like professional recorders!
But anyways, if you’re having second thoughts on doing this, I say do it. The first drop feels scary at first, but the rest is super fun! 😄😄😄
That’s the only thing that is stopping me from getting on this, the Hulk, or the Velocicoaster. The drops.
@@ludmilafascia7956 When I rode the hulk, it looked scary but it didn’t feel scary when it dropped it felt like I was flying through space
@@ludmilafascia7956 Inverting drops aren’t really intense, this drop has a smaller angle than almost every other coaster in Florida, and velocicoaster just has a top hat, not a drop
The Muppets song playing while the ride is going is honestly pretty iconic
Hey, I was just there on Monday. And two other times last week. Living in Orlando is great.
Also, Kickstart My Heart is still my favorite song on this ride.
Totally the best song! I also like to listen to Lose Yourself from the secret playlist
Hell yeah!
How many mid-corse brake runs do you want? Rip ride rockit: Yes
I like riding this at night coz of the cool lighting
this ride is so good at night
this was my first roller coaster ever. i was 7. i LOVED it
I chose "I will survive" when I was there. Best fitting song with the roller coaster.
LMAO especially when you go straight up in the beginning, I thought I was going to fall out the back.
Limp bizkit'$ Rollin 1 of the BEST F**** DAYS EVER😍😍😍😍
Omg 😱 I went on this ride it was the best I love how you get to play music whilst being on the most tense ride ever
The muppets song was an added hilarious touch! I loved when you sang- movin right along... boop a doop -boop a doop ...That was epic😂
I didn't know there were a secret list of songs, thanks for sharing it!
Holy crap!! I'd never wear the same pants again!!!😂
It's my favorite coaster ever!!!
@Anomalocaris it doesn’t hurt
@Anomalocaris I rode it today and it was not that rough
@Anomalocaris maybe for you but not for ne
*me*
I've always chosen MC Hammer or Limp Bizket, but the Muppets fit very well
Limp bizkit'$ Rollin 1 of the BEST F**** DAYS EVER😍😍😍😍
Neil Cicierega, anyone? (Listen to "Shit" or "Fredhammer.")
Kevin Hart is never coming to Universal Studios Orlando again thanks to this roller coaster......
My daughter passed out on this ride. It was a hot day. That was 4 years ago. She was so excited to ride it again this year and enjoyed it the whole time. I think I picked the same song as last time - Crystal Method - Busy Child.
I remember when this was being built as a kid. Im 23 now but I think this was one of the first coasters of that design to be built at the time. When they made this coaster it definitely became more popular.
Not really. Maurer rides haven’t been too good or popular since.
Oooo, I like that little canyon run bit! Nice little terrain coaster action. Also love "California here we come!" at a theme park in Florida... hehe, great vid, thanks Robb! (and I'm off to google the secret song menu :)
Tell me why It looks so much scarier on camera than real life lol I love this ride it’s so much freaking fun trust me it looks so much scarier from out of the park just looking at it then being in the ride lol!!!!
i felt like i was going to fall out, my neck was going every which way, i almost passed out, and i couldn't keep my eyes open half of the time, all whilst listening to i will survive 🥰 it was overall a fun ride but i had been having serious vertigo at the time so i was a bit worried. luckily i was ok, my face in the picture they take of you was definitely very interesting 💀
When i went on this ride i played the song i will survive! Lmao
Limp bizkit Rollin 1 OF DE BEST DAYS EVER😍😍😍😍
lol same! went on this ride a few times and it was so fun-
I'm going to universal studios in a few weeks and this is literally the first ride I'm going on
I’d also recommend checking out The Hulk if ya like the nyoom type rides!
@@Spawn43Things I rode that
@@iluvgarfield53 YESSSSSS how did ya like it?
@@Spawn43Things very fun i rode it multiple times
ahaha, I’m going to universal tomorrow and I’m so scared to go on this ride, I’ll update u guys tomorrow to see how it goes:)
Rip, Dokifilmss, he fell asleep on the second mid-course brake run and never woke up.
@@erikwaterson361 I remember the fallen, do they think of me
How it go?
@@erikwaterson361 LMFAOO IM JUS SEEING THIS, but ya it was fun i liked hulk better it was a bit choppy thoo
so, i was never a big rollercoaster person until i went on the rides here. i was always scared of them and never went on them. i got a trip to universal from my parents as a christmas gift, we went last month.
the first rollercoaster i went on was the velocicoaster. yep, i threw myself into the deep end immediately. i went on the hulk and loved it, but i was wary about this one. i went on it with my dad anyway. it was so much fun! the climb was full of adrenaline and the drop(s) was amazing and i chose the song Stronger by Kanye West and had the time of my life.
Such an underrated coaster
I feel like I wouldn't be as scared of roller coasters if they played music like this every so often during the ride.
I literally just went on this and so fun! I was convinced to go two times and this is like maybe my sixth roller coaster because I used to be terrified! So fun and I definitely recommend, both times we were at the front lol
I remember going front seats with my brother and it was absolutely amazing!
Boop-a-doop, boop-a-doop!
I went to Universal Studios earlier today and I went on this ride! It was the bestttttt! I would totally ride it again.
@Sarah Hernandez if you like the mummy then you should ride this
I went on this ride a couple years ago, and I was just tall enough (Meaning if my hairline was any shorter I would have been too short no cap). Halfway through the line (I was with my cousin) I was starting to get nervous and thought about turning back around, but nope. We went on and it was the *best.*
We went on like 1 or 2 more times.
this rollercoaster was so much fun, i rode it twice and listened to pump it by black eyed peas both times (i wanted to listen to i will survive the second time but couldn’t find it in time lol). i’m so excited for the next time we go to universal, i wanna ride this again!! that drop was the best part
Midbrake: the ride
Tbh i feel like this dude would make me feel less scared on going on a rollercoaster more than anyone else
The greatest RUclips channel ever!
my favorite rip ride rockit song is “pump it” by the black eyed peas 🔥 gives you sm hype when your on the ride !!
lmao i was very red & panicking, not my choice of ride but now that song traumatized me
When ever i go on that ride i listen to paralyzer by finger eleven
Hands down, the greatest TPR video to ever exist.
1:42 That moment in the back row is legitimately some crazy ass ejector! I was caught so off guard but it was awesome, best airtime on the ride!
Gosh the back row messes me up!!!
I went to the studios last week and rode this twice I listened to free bird the first time and the climb up as the guitar solo started was incredible made the ride that much better
I 've listened to Born to be Wild, Intergalactic, and Kickstart My Heart. I say Intergalactic is the best
Intergalactic is a solid choice!
ViperFangirl's brother chose Kickstart My Heart. His friend chose U Can't Touch This.
My favorite Rip Ride Rockit song is definitely Pump Up the Volume. I went on that ride a few years back in 2015 for my sister's cheer competition.
My first time riding this, I ended up on the very front seat. No regrets either!
Why does nobody talk about how this ride literally make your neck go all over the place and how bumpy it is 😭 my head hurted a little when I got off
0:01 why does this look like a game or an animation?
It’s not I promise you it’s real
I luv hearing the hollering on the rides. HOW CLASSIC!~!
306 - Lose Yourself by Eminem. Goes perfectly with the ride. Must try.
113- immigrant song, was the best
Personally, Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue was my go-to song on this ride. Just upped the adrenaline so much!
@@oliviamccarroll7482 yess my fav song to play on that ride
I rode this for the first time 3 days ago. I picked Rollin' by Limp Bizkit and I can't imagine picking any other song for this ride. It was perfect.
This ride was really fun i went twice and im only 9😏
Edit: my fav song was stronger by kayne west
Fave Rip Ride Rocket tune is Limp Biskit "Rollin'"... Great ride, this one never gets dull!
