Wow! I feel myself so gifted by watching "Possession movie" and now by listening to Mrs. A.S Byatt! Wow! Wow! Well, since I was sixteen, I used to write those regular diary but pretty victorian desingned. Unfortunatly, I was never able to write anything like a novel or book. I would love to be in touch with Mrs. Byatt indeed!
So glad to have stumbled onto this series! I first read Possession in college, and now as a researcher (and genealogist) I totally get this feeling of trying to put one’s hands on, or around, the elusive past, to figure out what bigger picture the pieces fit into. Great work! I’m looking forward to exploring the series.
Very interesting, thorough interview- thanks for the upload Im currently in the middle of "Possession" and have previously read "Angels and Insects", and think that A.S. Byatt is a very great writer.
I misunderstood you at the beginning, thinking you were saying, "The Dreadful Interview"😆🤦 Great interview! Certainly not dreadful! I have never read Byatt, but this makes me want to look into her work for sure. Thank you!
An tremendous interview. Reflective, intelligent, and bold. Excellent questions and superbly alive response.
Possession was fabulous on so many levels.
