OMG...I cant bare to watch anymore !! I admire your enthusiasm and determination but after 35 years involved in vintage and classic car restoration I just cant look . All the best with it kiddo.
Man you are hilarious, deserve way more subs. Here because looking at a 940 for a project to keep me busy and keep my mental health good, glad I came across you!
I love all your videos Sledge, you are so funny and inspiring I hoe all is going well!!! Starting from the beginning in the absence of new videos and I love every one!
Well done indeed. Love the black wheels. What you may try is to find the chrome metal 2 piece hub caps that cover the centre only. They were standard on base model 240DL models from about 79 through about 84. They protect the studs and lug nuts from salt and they add just that bit of sparkle that brings the whole car to life without being showy. The body work looks very neatly done. Great job.
Thanks! I would like some Wentworth alloys (I forget the name) or maybe some Adharas. For the 240 my favourite is the Corona but they are getting a bit expensive now
Leaves falling through grill are accumulating down the water channels, near car sills, then biocemical reactions turns them into soily mud and in such environment rust is eating 940 from the inside. If i knew that before, my 940 would last significantly longer.
Ahhhhhh! Recently I had the cowl of my 940 wagon after the windscreen was replaced, during which I saw how it was removed. So I removed it myself to see if there was any evidence of a leak through the firewall. After I cleaned the cowl and regaled the rubber strips I refitted the cowl. I wish I had known this vid was up. Also the paint on your blue car is better than the brown on mine. I'm a bit scared to look under the mudguard in case I see ... rust.
The joys of rust 😖 I was waiting for you to say “help me understand” when the door wouldn’t open 🤪 Would it be worth meshing the scuttle panel to stop the leaves? done a good job fella!
Good job ! I'd dearly like to see you doing the same thing on a 240 - I have one the same age and model as Lili and I'm wondering how the wing detaches at the front near the indicators. Thanks for the tips and the enthusiasm.
Was that 940 ,previously painted like a fender, it is quite puzzling, how when you take off the fender it looks like it had been over sprayed in the one area, also that fender looks like a replacement fender, just wondering.
Please take care of that surface rust , as a suggestion check the underside of the car like where the floors would be, it tends to rust, also if the car has a sunroof the drain holes tend to clog up leading with water accumulating leading to rust.
Thanks! Most of the car is quite clean, I notice these tend to suffer a bit less with rust than the 240? There's a few surface spots I've treated but no holes yet! 🤞
Soo, this is the third video of yours I'm watching, and I'm slowly realizing that you don't seem to have any power available in the shed. You don't even seem to have any battery powered drills or grinders. So this is going to be truly old school wrenching then. And to spice it up a bit, there are Geezers of questionable character lurking around. Interesting... 😉
Hello dear brother, I am one of your followers. I am a fan of Valvo cars. I have a Valvo 850 car. I want to supply a turbo engine. What should I do, my dear friend?

Cracking job on that, well done 👏Hilarious too 😄 You look so handsome 🥰 xxx
Good job
Thanks!
Nice work it’s always a pain chasing rust. You have done a good job of that 👍
Have always been partial to the Hydra alloys on the 940/740s.
They look great, just quite expensive now, my favourite alloy is probably the Wentworth one, not sure what they are called

I think it's a common spot so there might be a bit there, but it's pretty thick so I think it takes a while to rust through at least 🤞
Great job!
Thanks!
Great videos mate 👌🏻
Thanks mate glad you're enjoying them!

Haha when Derek did that then segwayed into the song that was hilarious. Thanks mate!

Thank you! Probably will happen one day. You might be able to find some tips on the forums, I find the Volvo ones very helpful (mostly 😄)
Was that 940 ,previously painted like a fender, it is quite puzzling, how when you take off the fender it looks like it had been over sprayed in the one area, also that fender looks like a replacement fender, just wondering.
It's definitely possible, I didn't notice that!
Love ur videos my dude gotta learn how to spray properly tho 🤣😉

Defo 100% on the Black Wheels and 100% that's your mattress 🤣🤣🤣🤣
As my mate pointed out it's become my tyre cleaner 😄

I did get hold of a battery powered drill shortly after this video as I didn't fancy much more rust removal with a screwdriver 😄

You need a cordless drill to sort out the rust rather than hand sanding.....come into the 21st century.
