If you haven't been through childhood trauma caused by parents and/or caregivers, consider yourself lucky. It's super hard for people to understand who have a healthy relationship with their parents. No contact is one of the hardest things to do. Holding onto hope that people will change into something they're not is emotionally damaging within itself. I'm proud of Tana coming to peace with being no contact & knowing her parents will never be what she needs them to be. It's the toughest heartbreak to ever go through.

Yes agree👏🏼👏🏼 She doesn’t need anyone praying to her that she fixes that relationship. She needs validation for making the right decision for her and staying strong if they ever try and come back and NOT ever letting them back into her life

Yess thiss‼️Absolutely agree with everything u said! Going no contact, in my opinion, is one of the most healing things to do when it comes to dealing with a toxic parent who has a repetitive unwillingness to be a good or better parent. The emotional toll it takes to continue a relationship w someone like that is soooo much more draining & damaging than it is to cut them off. Tana should be rlly proud of herself for sure!

I'm really trying to give George a chance. I really wanna respect him and his platform, but its hard. I get that he's clearly had a privileged life, but Tana"s relationship with her parents doesn't need your prayers. I'm not sure where all these people get off speaking to and about tana the way they do, but it gets old. Her parents are not good people. They're not good parents, and even if they miraculously woke up one day and felt that guilt, apologized and worked hard to gain her trust and love back... she doesn't have to EVER forgive them. And her willingness to give them a second chance has no fcking bearing on her future kids lives at all. I can already see that Tana will be a great, loving mother, regardless of the lifestyle she has now. I also think making comments about her future kids in the manner that you are is disrespectful and out of line. Worry about treating your future wife with a bit more respect. I wouldn't want YOUR kids to be affected by that.
Side note: I get why logan snapped on you about religion now. You don't understand boundaried AT ALL. You're always trying to force your beliefs down everyones throat and you don't seem to understand "time and place" either. And you did it during a moment so personal and vulnerable for her. YOUR beliefs have no place in a conversation about HER trauma. You get that right?

I have seen Tana trying so many years and being so hurt and disappointed. He could NEVER begin to understand the Levels of Dysfunction & Severe Abuse that people's Natural birth family can put them through! For him to push the issue when Tana has already shared so many times that she found her "Rescue Family" in Amari that LOVE HER!
Tana is still looking for love in empty relationships because of the Love Void her birth family failed to impart within her correctly. She has done SO MUCH to be where she is at. She also has Overcome so many "Life's War Wounds" to be were she is today. She is so inteĺligent for her young age & holds much Wisdom too.

It’s a long journey to get to a place of no contact with your parents and if you’re brave enough to do that, all you need is validation. He has no place to be telling her any different. 2 in the morning and I’m so tired but I had to comment! I am a Christian.. raised by the strongest Christian’s and well travelled walked where Jesus walked.. all of it.. but George.. YOU WERE OUT OF LINE when it to Tanas parents..
You need to do you dang research! Does the bible say to honour your parents.. absolutely! But when you have parents who abused you.. and and neglected you… She can forgive them.. from a distance… man this man me so upset! Because you spoke to Tana very ignorantly… you shouldn’t EVER have an opinion without educating yourself on the situation.. because I can tell you God can get angry and a wise man should fear God right? And Tanas Parents will get Gods vengeance, as Vengeance is the Lords!
That’s very juvenile and completely immature of you to assume it’s just as simple as disagreements or disgruntle towards each other! My heart was breaking for Tana while you kept pushing the issue.. and she handled that like a BOSS!
If you’re going to have guest.. dive into the research and do your Damn job right! No more half assed work!
FFS, this pissed me off so much on her behalf!
Even her forgiving them, for herself is enough for God! To forgive them as God has forgiven her.. and that’s as far as it needs to go!
You are still young.. real life… hasn’t hit you enough.. you love God as do I.. but you aren’t wise enough to push it…
Man!!! I know you have good intentions.. but you need to do better!!!
God bless you George and please pray on it… and maybe talk to Tana as she’s your friend.. and actually find out.. trust you’ll feel like an ass!
And do your research on your next Guest…
    God bless you!

Mike is great on the pod. I think Mike and George should have their separate pod where they are able to talk without Logan hovering over them like a helicopter parent. George was silenced because he talked about Jesus Christ and he was accused and treated unfairly. About the Bobby Lee pod, Bobby was touching George inappropriately and telling him to sniff his crotch and was forced /peer pressured into doing so (what if a girl was treated the way George was treated the whole impaulsive podcast would've been cancelled including Bobby) and when George was given a chance to talk he was treated like trash and dismissed by Bobby and when Logan didn't support George instead commented that George is “Clocked Out” that is when George left.

George is someone who’s been raised by healthy loving and stable parents and had money his whole life. He’s never had the life experience of being involved in horrific, toxic, abusive situations. Or having to worry about basic human needs of survival. And it’s apparent he also hasn’t seen much of the dark/damaged parts of society. He’s lived a VERY PRIVILEGED life….And that’s not a criticism at all, it’s just factual and relevant to how he communicates. people like that don’t understand that some times there’s no happy ending and no justice. And you just have to eat the loss, and do your best to move forward and find some peace with it being fucked, it is what it is. And it isn’t just some thing you can pray your way out of…….I have watched some family members who were born into money, and also had picture perfect parents/upbringing and all the life experiences have ended positively. They. often don’t understand reality of struggle because 40,50,60,80 years of life has always gone their way. So when they see other people’s struggles they’re incapable of understanding or empathy cuz it’s assumed it must be a misunderstanding or something. Just because life went one way for them so it must be that way for everyone else.

    for your information
    -George is a Christian
-Religion they say but george said "prayer" and what the hell does religion do with praying that someday tana and her parents have better relationship.
-I hope - meaning want something to happen or be the case
-if you can - meaning used to express possibility
so where is the part george forcing tana to do things the way he wants. but i understand it does sound a little forceful but truth sometimes is very direct.
