@@JustSharonHey Sharon I had this video idea for you, It’s like you reading people’s times when they thought it was their period but it really does not, like period false alarms, I think it would be a good Idea😊
One simple way to explain that you can't hold your period in: "It's like rain. You can't just make it stop raining until it's done. And once it's done, it won't come back for a little while."
Ok so here’s a story: I had ran out of tampons in the middle of the school day. I asked a friend if she had any. She looked so utterly confused, she said ‘ what’s a tampon? Is that like a writing utensil?’ We’re we’re seniors in high school and she didn’t even know. I was laughing so hard I was crying.
Yeah she looks awesome.... It's been a while since I visited the channel and when I saw Sharon with that hair I was so surprised and I just loved it ❤❤❤❤❤
In health class we were learning about periods, then my male friend asked me, "cant you just hold it in?", then i had to explain to him that you cant hold it in and it just comes out (btw love your video's)
For me, we were learning about period products, and when the teacher showed us a pad, this guy in the back yelled out "so it's a diaper for women" and I cringed so hard omg
Omg, you are so real for saying girls don't get proper sex ed or period ed, because I got mine first about a year ago, and I didn't know anything. My mom had to explain me everything because the school barely gave a crap about educating us girls. You would think after women have been getting periods forever, there would be a lot of information about getting it and girls would be prepared. But I guess not.
My friend was going into art class and she said she had the worst cramps ever and a boy was like, well atleast you only get one period your whole life, she died of laughter and took the whole class explaining that's not how it's works
Period Horror Story So my junior year of highschool i was in history class and i needed to change my tampon, so i made a pass on my computer and my teacher ignored it, I cancelled it refreshed my page and made another one and raised my hand a I said "can i use the bathroom I can't wait, he responded "you need to stay in class and wait until lunch (which was like an hour away) I asked him again and he finally let me go, I got up picked up my period bag and started to walk out and my teacher stopped me and said "what's in the bag" i ignored him and walked out, when i got back he pulled me aside after class and told me that ignoring him was disrespectful behavior, he said that he was going to take my bag if I didn't tell him what was in it. So I told him "I have female products in this bag, why is it your concern" and he said "Next time if you don't show me what's in the bag , They're will be consequences. I'm 18 and graduated, so glad I don't have to deal with male teachers Bs anymore 😂
@@blackcatlivisteachers sometimes feel suspicious to try to keep the school safe but in this case ITS HER PRIVACY and also HE KNOWS SHES A GIRL AND JUST SAID TO WAIT UNTIL LUNCH?! that’s the stupidest sheet I’ve ever heard from a teacher and i swear if it’s a science teacher

I have had baths on my period before and I didn’t bleed while I was in the tub. Although I kinda do understand the shower thing. When I get out of the shower on my period I just stick toilet paper between my legs so I can get dressed again without Bloody Mary going on down there 🤣
A girl in my class was on her period and asked the male teacher to go to the bathroom and he said "just don't bleed that's it no need to go to the bathroom" and the all class was like "huh?" and the girl explained to the teacher that you can't choose not to bleed and another female teacher got involved to explain to the teacher how a period works so he finally let her
And some peopl still think that sex ed is unnecesary... like eleven year olds are not to young to know about periods... a lot of girls get their period befor that!!! They NEED to know what goes on down there
I am a girl who now has her period, but when I was younger, I thought that if you stopped having your period all of a sudden, it means your pregnant. Even if your a virgin. Looking back on it, it makes absolutely no sense 😂
I took a pregnancy test when my period was late even though I’m gay, on birth control, and a virgin. I thought I was the next Virgin Mary since my middle name is Mary
I’ve found in recent years that the number of people who experience debilitating period pain/bleeding has significantly increased. Like if you look back 30/40/50 years ago the majority of people had possibly some mild discomfort during their periods compared to significant pain nowadays. I know there’s also more research and such but there’s also been a massive increase in cases of PCOS and endometriosis amongst younger people where research is now trying to find a reasoning that is causing this massive increase in cases of this sort. They can’t figure if it’s environmental or a change:mutation with genes making people much more likely to have these issues which is rather concerning in either case
That’s very interesting! My pain is so bad that I can’t move, get up, and sometimes I throw up. I have a high pain tolerance, but period pain makes me cry. I’m a high schooler. My mother, on the other hand, does not experience it as bad as I do. The only people I’ve met who experience the same symptoms as me are my friends
I grew up in a conservative family and both my parents don't know that we have 3 holes down there and not two. So whenever I needed to go to the bathroom and someone else is in there I would say "Its okay, I can wait a few minutes" my dad goes crazy saying that I will get an infection if I hold my pee in and he said 'you won't be able to walk normally again for a week now probably' and my mum actually agrees with him 💀💀🤦♀️
Once I was getting in the shower and forgot a pad and my grandma told me it would stop in the shower (I was in her bathroom and there wasn’t anything in h the there). Then after the shower she was going to help me with my hair and I told her I was going to put a pad on and she said “you don’t have to put one on now because it stopped in the shower”. I put one on anyway and I’m glad I did.
My MOM, GRANDMA and AUNT have told me my whole childhood that period were related to the moon... It's considered that the average menstrual cycle is 28 days so why not... The thing is that I have the most irregular periods ever so really, that's not related at all !
I have PCOS my period is like spinning a roulette wheel. Will it be on time? Will to happen at all? Will I be in pain? How heavy a flow? Maybe I’ll just PMS and not menstrate…let’s spin the wheel and find out!
In middle school one of the coaches taught Sex Ed. He told us this story of how he was trying to get a tampon to stop a football player’s nose bleed. I don’t remember how he said it exactly be basically he had to fine the girl with the biggest hole because he thought tampon size was basted or hole size and he needed a large tampon to stop this kid’s nose bleed. Funny thing is I believe him until my mom was telling me (as I was going through 2 boxes of light tampons each period) that I may need a bigger tampon because my flow was really heavy. It all clicked then. Pretty sure that teach still thinks tampon size is bast of hole size. Also he has an adult daughter so I don’t know how to feel. A lot of boys are gonna be walking around thinking girls that buy light tampons have small holes.
This isn’t a story of having a period but in class my teacher was talking about hormones and pms and things like that and when I looked around the classroom I could see boys laughing quietly and smiling because they new they weren’t going to have a period and pms but then my teacher said that boys also get hormones and to say the least they stopped laughing and smiling.
I haven’t got my period yet but my parents as well as my family have always made sure to educate me on periods I’m pretty prepared now and definitely know what’s gonna happen

Sharon your amazing and i hope you have a great day. Also amazing video and the weirdest thing someone thought about a period is that they think it's gross.
Not a misconception, but one day, while I was scrolling on instagram, i watched a video about a gyno who was telling the story of her patient who hit menopause at the age of 20 😭
I was at school and in a hurry so I was putting a tampon in and didn’t get it in all the way I tried to pull if out it hurt so I stopped and left if when I was at Lunch i was shaking I had to go to the bathroom and put a new one in IT HURT SO BAD never did that agin

When I got my period, I got upset because I thought I would have it everyday and that I’d never be able to wear underwear without pads for the rest of my life 😭 luckily my mom told me that wasn’t true
I would say that knowing when your period happens can be a superpower, because you know when to prepare for it. Although I can see it being a nuisance because there's nothing else that you can really do besides keep yourself prepared.
Without you telling me that periods happen once a month I would’ve thought it happened every day. Thanks to the sixth grade teacher teaching girls about periods 😢
10:11 OK before I actually got my first period, I thought tampons go in hotdog style. I did not know about the hole that we bleed from.. I was not educated at all.. UNTILL I GOT MY FIRST PERIOD!! (December 17th of last year..) 😂😢😅
I had a pad in my little makeup bag incase somebody needed it, and A GIRL looked through the bag during math class said "Is this a bandage?" I had to tell her it was a pad in front of a boy and it was so weird
hey sharon! i love your channel and i just wanted to come on here and let you know i tried a tampon for the first time today bc i rly didnt want to use a pad for soccer practice later and i did it! i actually got it in first try surprisingly! and you have a big role in this. i was watching your videos on how to insert a tampon and i was like “today is the day, physical excertion isnt fun w/ a pad bc it shifts” so i tried it and now i think ill be using them a lot! thanks sharon!
Grade 7-Bro right after heath class, one of my friends (male) came up to me and patted me on my back and said “ I get your period now.” Later that day my friend texted me asking if so in so gets our periods now, long story short he was standing right next to me and saw his name on my phone, he said to tell my friend kinda!!!
Thank you Sharon Ik this isn’t what this vid is about but I’ve seen the other ones and thank you so much for giving us reviews on different period products it helped me because I am personally not a big fan of pads and I’m kinda scared of tampons and I really want to try the period underwear
Dogs actually know when your on your period bc they have a strong sense of smell, so they can smell your period blood. But that has nothing to do with the puppy growing 😭
This is my first period story: I knew what it was and in the morning I realised I got it for the first time. I didn’t tell my mum straight away but instead I just said I felt sick so I didn’t have to go to school. I was forced to go anyways! I went to school and bled through my underwear but not my bike shorts (I was wearing the school skirt) because I put tissue in my underwear. When I got home i told my mum I got it that afternoon and everything was fine
Yall one time I had my period for 12 DAYS. It was in my first year of having my period and I was like "GIRL JUST STOP ALREADY". I personally don't have like almost ANY pain whilst I'm on it. I'm a lucky one :b
The guys in my school have just been taught about how they’ll grow chest hair and how their privates work girls were taught about both genders and it was very uncomfortable to learn that the guys weren’t as educated on the subject 🙃
13:50 am i the only one who actually wanted it and still would say that i want my period to come if i could decide??? Like after getting ur period for 5 years or smth and still would want them?
Last year i had a teacher who wouldnt let u go to the toilet, and when you asked would make a lengthy and embarrassing lecture abt it. And the worst thing is she was a woman?? Even if she didnt get a period for whatever medical reason surely her friends would have when she was in school. As quiet a nervous person when it comes to talking i cannot tell you the amount of anxiety and stress this caused me when i had to ask to go, this is totally unacceptable from a teacher in secondary school, man or woman. And could have caused me some serious medical conditions if i hadnt asked to go when i rlly needed to!
Right now I’m scared for when my period will come back because I got my first period two weeks ago so now I’m just waiting another two weeks until I’ll have to get it again 😢
When I was on mine I was watching videos and my dad was like "hey why is there blood did someone have a nosebleed?" And I did not pay any attention to what he said but my mom did and said "she's on her you know what." And my dad reassured me saying it was normal and nothing to be scared about.
I love your channel my mom said things to me that made me feel and think i was weird for hating my period she told me other girls just put on a pad or tampon and go on with their life they dont complain about it like i do i no longer have periods due to a surgery plus birth control it got to the point where the bleeding would last around 32 days but that was when i was in my mid 20s she told me the other thing when i was younger then that and they werent lasting as long

Without you telling me that periods happen once a month I would’ve thought it happened every day. Thanks to the sixth grade teacher teaching girls about periods 😢
I love this series soo much!!
me too!!! so happy you do :)

OK before I actually got my first period, I thought tampons go in hotdog style. I did not know about the hole that we bleed from.. I was not educated at all.. UNTILL I GOT MY FIRST PERIOD!! (December 17th of last year..) 😂😢😅
the fact that I'm on my period right now hearing this😭
perfect timing
I had a pad in my little makeup bag incase somebody needed it, and A GIRL looked through the bag during math class said "Is this a bandage?"
I had to tell her it was a pad in front of a boy and it was so weird
hey sharon! i love your channel and i just wanted to come on here and let you know i tried a tampon for the first time today bc i rly didnt want to use a pad for soccer practice later and i did it! i actually got it in first try surprisingly! and you have a big role in this. i was watching your videos on how to insert a tampon and i was like “today is the day, physical excertion isnt fun w/ a pad bc it shifts” so i tried it and now i think ill be using them a lot! thanks sharon!
3:58 yes, yes we do

It’s my 2nd day today 😭😭😭

It’s actually a dress!! I got it a few years ago at RUE21 🫶🏼
A pad would rip off half of my hair down there and it would be traumatic and PAINFUL 😂 11:14
6:43 This one still makes me laugh every time 😂
Heyy sharon loving your vids
hey ruby thank you so much :)
Your hair! It looks amazing
ahh thank you boo!!
@@JustSharon thank you so much for replying to me I love your videos so much 💚💚💚💚💚

I honestly didn't know this until a few days ago
witchy time :)
🧙🏼♀️✨
This is my first period story:
I knew what it was and in the morning I realised I got it for the first time.
I'm a lucky one :b
bro she is literally so gorgeous its honestly insane, like girllll
I ligit thought I'll have my period everyday, I'm so happy we don't.
omg shout of the day??? tysm sharon!❤
can't believe all these misconceptions about periods 😭 the hotdog one tho LMAO
The guys in my school have just been taught about how they’ll grow chest hair and how their privates work girls were taught about both genders and it was very uncomfortable to learn that the guys weren’t as educated on the subject 🙃
13:50 am i the only one who actually wanted it and still would say that i want my period to come if i could decide??? Like after getting ur period for 5 years or smth and still would want them?
I want mine too lol
@@LifeWithme-vn9qy lol but i'm like the next level i love my period and like even after when i got it first time i was just excited and still am
Noooo neverrr no one wants to deal with it
@@kermxtkate I want mine

Last year i had a teacher who wouldnt let u go to the toilet, and when you asked would make a lengthy and embarrassing lecture abt it. And the worst thing is she was a woman?? Even if she didnt get a period for whatever medical reason surely her friends would have when she was in school. As quiet a nervous person when it comes to talking i cannot tell you the amount of anxiety and stress this caused me when i had to ask to go, this is totally unacceptable from a teacher in secondary school, man or woman. And could have caused me some serious medical conditions if i hadnt asked to go when i rlly needed to!
Your new hair is awesome, love u Sharon ❤
Right now I’m scared for when my period will come back because I got my first period two weeks ago so now I’m just waiting another two weeks until I’ll have to get it again 😢
it wont be reguler if u still havent had your second period i went without a year at least before i got my second period
@@stress.homework.eat.repeat I have had every month so far just really light flow
@@NotMe11406 lucky for u the moment i started my period was heavy and wanted me to suffer 😔
I’m so glad I started watching u before I got my period so I knew better
When my mom got her first period at school she didnt know anything about it, so she thought it was because she ate many tomatoes the day before 😭
This guy in my 9th grade class asked me “when will I get my period” after I asked for a tampon from my friend. Wtf?!
Lol WTH 😂
I have seen so many people complaining about cramps so I'm just so glad i haven't got my first period yet 😅
You lucky😭🤚🏼

hi SHARON i just wanted to say i love your vidoes
I love your videos!! They are so fun to watch!!
When I was on mine I was watching videos and my dad was like "hey why is there blood did someone have a nosebleed?" And I did not pay any attention to what he said but my mom did and said "she's on her you know what." And my dad reassured me saying it was normal and nothing to be scared about.
I love your channel my mom said things to me that made me feel and think i was weird for hating my period she told me other girls just put on a pad or tampon and go on with their life they dont complain about it like i do i no longer have periods due to a surgery plus birth control it got to the point where the bleeding would last around 32 days but that was when i was in my mid 20s she told me the other thing when i was younger then that and they werent lasting as long
awh who else binges Sharon on their period ✋✋✋✋
