10:50 Hubris: The arrogance of hanging booth your feet off one side of your gyroplane. OTOH, hope I'm as mentally sharp and physically fit as this gent when I'm 84 years old!
@@SoloGSA As the camera pans round past the jet engine, it is a tall silver/grey column with different diameter tubes with a desk type base and a binocular head to look at the image screen. It is on the door side of the chest of drawers/work/clutter bench. Reminds me of one I used in medical research back in another lifetime.
Most light aircraft you could push a biro through the sides. Most aircraft are juat surrounded by fabric or very thin metal. Its mostly streamlining. Rhis is a properly designed aircraft with strong 6061t6 frame. In additon gyros can fly and land very slow. Hes not falling out because he has a seat belt. He flew these for 60 + years. Its cooincidence he never died. He was still flying them at 93.
Ken was a good friend, and an important part of my life. He was a true British gentleman and legend. Sadly missed.
One of the most remarkable pieces of footage I have ever seen! What an amazing man and a life lived to the fullest!
Marvelous invention spirit. British at its best ...

No safety bars, open to any kind of element, or fatal accident with the propela.. Suicidal flying machine
It's fine if you know what you are doing. Ken Wallis designed, built and flew gyros for around 60 years.
