Yeah, and this is a special example of it, where they perform Going Back Home in a French community. The video starts with the last seconds of She Does It Right. ruclips.net/video/Q0Q9Zc7nZjw/видео.html
What a fantastic Brit band who never made it big in the U.S.A. They were great live, with the strutting Wilco Johnson on guitar. Excellent tracks include Roxette, Back in the Night, She's a Windup, Down At the Doctors, Milk and Alcohol etc. A highly underrated, but very influential R & B band.
Wilko Johnson was a fascinating character, formerly an English teacher, he had a great love of literature, was a great raconteur later in life, played an executioner in Game of Thrones, fought a battle with cancer which he was very philosophical about and just kept playing music in his trademark uncompromising style.
You mentioned Wilko's right hand just flapping up and down. He was left handed but played right handed. He played rhythm with his right and the lead notes up the neck with his left at the same time. I'm so glad you all liked this tune.
They were the best live band I have ever seen. There were no explosions, flash lights, or gimmicks; just their raw energy and power were something to see. They were never the same after Wilko left. Rip Wilko and Lee, you will never know, could never know, what your band meant to me.
Thank you!!!!! Even I will hope that you some day continue your Nightwish journey.... TO ME THIS STILL PURE GOLD!🥰❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 Greetings from Finland (by Nightwish fan since 1998)
The singer (Lee Brilleaux) also played blues harmonica, so maybe add _Dr. Feelgood - Roxette (Old Grey Whistle Test)_ ruclips.net/video/e1VwjWXefFs/видео.html (2m:43s) or _Dr.Feelgood 【Boom Boom】_ ruclips.net/video/snujJcogP4Y/видео.html (2m:39s) to your list of reactions ("Boom Boom" was written by the great American blues guitarist John Lee Hooker). Dr.Feelgood's biggest hit was "Milk and Alcohol", but the manic guitarist Wilko Johnson wasn't in the band, and I prefer Wilko's period. I hope Donna's OK. Best Wishes, All. ☮
@KathyLuluandDonna Hi there - you should have chosen "Milk And Alcohol" as the first song. It is known to most people and is more catchy. Dr. Feelgood is a very good blues and blues `n boogie band that we known here in europe especially in hamburg. Best wishes from Hamburg (Germany)
I guess the request was provided to get some songs presented which are 😎 exactly not so known to Kathy, Lulu and Donna and their audience. And obviously they had some fun and liked it. 😃😃😃 Concerning the catchyness, my view is different - Roxette for example is catchier for me than Milk And Alcohol.
They were classed as "pub rock", but were a proto-punk band - like their fellow pub rocker Ian Dury, and were one of the groups Bob Marley named in his song linking punk and reggae bands as outcasts of society; Punky reggae party. ... "I'm saying The Wailers will be there The Damned, The Jam, The Clash Maytails will be there Dr. Feelgood too" ...
I saw them live in London in 1975 and they were exactly like this, fast loud and uncompromising. They knocked everyone out even though it was before they had released any records and we didnt know any of their songs; encore, encore...
Singer Lee Brilleaux was known as the "dirtiest man in rock`n`roll, this video is before he started wearing a white jacket, and over the years he he was never seen without it, you can imagine the colour after not getting it cleaned for years! RIP Lee.

❤❤❤Absolute legends! One of my alltime favourite from the UK. I was lucky to see them live as a wee boy. They were super popular also in Finland and they had usually many gigs / year in our best clubs and venues. Time when the British music and bands dominated the music charts and TV shows. Thank you so wery much❤❤❤🎉Best Regards from Finland.
Here a clip of the same song, also live, but in a pub in Finland (see text on the wall): ruclips.net/video/znRAbFIxPN0/видео.html (And I was lucky to experience three young Fins in a pub, performing some rock and blues songs so unbelievable well during one of my business trips to Espoo! Greetings to FInland.)
Hey Ladies, have you realized that Saltatio Mortis & Blind Guardian have released a new song last friday? It is called "Finsterwacht" and of course it is a Lord of the Rings themed song.
Yep, instead of Dr. Feelgood the song, the request was to react to Dr. Feelgood the band. Feel free to place a request for a reaction to Mötley Crüe's song 🎸
Fair play to Lulu, the Feelgoods’ outfits and visual style was a major part of their image. Including guitarist Wilko Johnson’s hair. All of that harks back to the mid 60s youth cult known as the Mods. They wore sharp Italian suits and neat haircuts (like the Beatles) as opposed to the grungy, unwashed rocker look of the Stones and the rock’n’rolllers and similar. The fast playing is also part of the Mods homage - like the great Mod band The Who. So Lulu has picked up on the style aspects of that.
Same song live in a pub or club in Finland (SHOCKING! And at ca. 0 : 42 of that video the lead singer seems to wonder, what he is doing there 🤣): ruclips.net/video/znRAbFIxPN0/видео.html
Yes , but the live version , not studio. I saw a reaction channel that did the studio version out here a few months ago and that’s definitely dropping the ball doing the studio version and not the live version 👍 They are. It even the same energy at all in comparison. That’s an amazing performance for sure though 😎
As a previous poster pointed out they are English. I don't really remember them. Pity Donna wasn't reacting. I doubt she will have heard of them but she'd take one look at the clothes and hairstyles and date the performance probably within 2 or 3 years!😊
I saw you guys did the Tim Conway elephant sketch and it made me think you could do Unedited Footage of a Bear and Too Many Cooks from Adult Swim. Probably not if you want to keep it family friendly because both of them have some icky scenes but they're both cool and it would be fun.
Fascinating reaction. I knew this band from 70s .Not best clip as it is TV for kids.. It was the precursor to punk. What sold was the delivery ripped off 100% from Howlin Wolf. What sold was that plus their fashion WAS OFF they looked like ex squaddies from around 68-69 behind the times which looked odd. This unwittingly propelled them to notoriety. So this was a cultural thing at the time very high unemployment country bad financially Dr Feelgood paved the way for the rebelling youth to follow with punk which McLaren manufactured together fashion in part V Westwood.
Guess the clip was good to get an overview of the band members. You're right, the BBC studio was not the usual place for their performances. Here a clip of the same song, also live, but in a pub in Finland (see text on the wall): ruclips.net/video/znRAbFIxPN0/видео.html
Great channel all keep doing what you do 👏👍... REQUEST TIME lol Paulo nutini a Scottish legend live performances of " Iron sky and " No other way " will genuinly blow you away , Adele said Iron sky was the best live she's seen if that's not a top recommendation not sure what is lol
Welcome to the naughty working class boys that one teenage Lady (princess) Di and her school mates loved. Oh and Wilco Johnson did not use a pick on his gutiar.
Check out them doing Route 66 live in Canvey Island. Best pub rock band in the UK. Their performance makes this one look tame. ruclips.net/video/zrMhXQ1XUlk/видео.html
I have to admit this song was from my era but I have never heard it before.....Even the band name I don't know but I didn't mind the song. Band is maybe a British band ??
Brilliant live band!! Their song 'Roxette' is a similar sound, but with an excellent harmonica section included.
Yeah, and this is a special example of it, where they perform Going Back Home in a French community. The video starts with the last seconds of She Does It Right.

Probably the most underrated 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧band ever
Wilko Johnson was a fascinating character, formerly an English teacher, he had a great love of literature, was a great raconteur later in life, played an executioner in Game of Thrones, fought a battle with cancer which he was very philosophical about and just kept playing music in his trademark uncompromising style.
English blues band. Milk and alcohol is their best song. They were great live.
Nah! its Roxette, but Wilco's the real star
Goin back home live is their best
Saw them 11 times live back in the 70s billiant band live, lee brilloux legend R.I.P
Loved this band, saw them many times, so blooming good live 🌟
Thames Delta Blues.
That's how they rolled.
If you're not from round these parts, the Thames is the wet bit flowing through London. 🙂
😁 seems there is a typo , it's a wet big. Or is it a big wet? 😜
And I was not aware there is a delta. So, I guess they are the London Swampers 😆
@@thomask8367 the Delta is a joke, but the thames estuary gets wide past thurrock, Southend-On-Mud is is name for the city on the Essex side
Milk & Alcohol is a banger, and definitely their best known song - in the UK anyhow.
Yeah, Wilko Johnson!
Really wierd playing technique-he doesn't use a pick, he's hitting the strings with the backs of his fingernails.
One thing I'd recommend is the Sensational Alex Harvey Band-Framed. They were the Scottish AC/DC, before there was an AC/DC.
The b&w version, live.
Faith healer 👏👏👏👏
Please do more! One of my favorite bands
Pure rock'n roll, no fuss. Awesome band❤
You mentioned Wilko's right hand just flapping up and down. He was left handed but played right handed. He played rhythm with his right and the lead notes up the neck with his left at the same time. I'm so glad you all liked this tune.
Wilko was a real badass, playing solo and rhythm guitar at the same time!
Pub Rock at its best!
They were the best live band I have ever seen. There were no explosions, flash lights, or gimmicks; just their raw energy and power were something to see. They were never the same after Wilko left. Rip Wilko and Lee, you will never know, could never know, what your band meant to me.

Wilko Johnson What a Great Story . check out Wilko and Roger Daltrey - Going Back Home
Such an epic video to it too.
Wilko Johnson was an amazing guitarist
Saw them in 1976 in Reading - they were like that all night.
These guys come from just around the corner from me in Essex,England......great blues/rock band....check out their "Milk and Alcohol"" or " Tanquery.
Great stuff. Never heard this before. Love it!❤❤❤. I was expecting a cover of Motley Crue's Dr. Feelgood lol😂
This is a brilliant band. Other great songs are 'Back In The Night' , 'Down At The Doctors' and 'Going Back Home'.
Wilkio Johnson was very much his own thing, he is a brilliant performance where he plays live as a guest with Ian Dury and the blockheads
Saw them live in the mid seventies in a basement gig at Morans hotel in Dublin. Best live band! They were relentless! Slava Ukraine!🇺🇦
very good band of rock 'n 'roll,j'adore👍👍🙂
Great stuff 👍 Back in the night is a banging song
Thank you!!!!! Even I will hope that you some day continue your Nightwish journey.... TO ME THIS STILL PURE GOLD!🥰❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 Greetings from Finland (by Nightwish fan since 1998)

Lulu is wonderful. Cherish her. 🙂
For me it sounds Punk, way before the Punk sound was Punk. Loved it. I could hear and will check out more.
They were classed as "pub rock", but were a proto-punk band - like their fellow pub rocker Ian Dury, and were one of the groups Bob Marley named in his song linking punk and reggae bands as outcasts of society; Punky reggae party.

The greatest Live.band ever
Hey Ladies, have you realized that Saltatio Mortis & Blind Guardian have released a new song last friday? It is called "Finsterwacht" and of course it is a Lord of the Rings themed song.
That was the feelgoods being subdued.
I saw Dr. Feelgood in the title and assumed I was going to hear Motley Crue.

Pub Rock at its finest , the Godfathers of Punk
Kathy is back! 👍🏼 Back forth again and again 😁 The choppy guitar style distinctively R&B sound by the band in the 70's
Seen them live
Now Lulu what do you know about "sneakin' out"??!! Busted!!😁😁😙😙😎😎😎😎
if you go from Dr Feelgood you could listen to French rock, try the group "Téléphone" and the title "Hygiaphone" you will see they are good
Same song live in a pub or club in Finland (SHOCKING! And at ca. 0 : 42 of that video the lead singer seems to wonder, what he is doing there 🤣):

Yep. From Canvey Island "The Essex Delta" just east of London.
For those listening to British pub rock they are one of the core bands.
Dr Feelgood takes meth to unwind.
Stupidity is one of the best live albums ever and it was only their second album. Lost interest after Wilco left.
