    Wow such a tough choice! As tempting as the V4 SP is, I would stick with your Speciale. It's a limited edition "first year" version of the V4. Priceless in my opinion. In the end, I hope you make the right choice. Cheers!

      I agree! Such a tough choice man. Being the first year of the V4 does make it more "Special'! ;)

    Ahhhh, such a tough choice! I do like the black fairings, but having to spend nearly $6,000 on another Akrapovic exhaust is kind of ridiculous in my opinion. My vote is to keep the V4 Speciale. You love that bike. Merry Christmas!

      Hi this exhaust line is bullshit 6000$ n the sprint filter is not the best in the kit
      N lowers fairings R missing N u have to pay about 2000$ for the mounting in my country the better choice is a slip on like this one Rocket Escapamentos ruclips.net/video/O8E4Q2Wg1Gs/видео.html do Brasil 1100 $ all inclusive but i will try to negrociate LOL N if u got the money go for it u can also look on google N forums like ducati modified there is a lot of slip on N 2 replica system VANDEMON from Austalia made by kangols LOL vandemonperformance.com.au/collections/motorcycle/products/ducati-panigale-v4-full-titanium-exhaust-kit-2018-20 n VANHOOL from china Wuhan covid 19 yh-muffler.com/product/motorcycle/5a73d44ab7d2e/5befde060a470/p-5befdf512d1a9.html still expensive but may be better than the AKRAPOVIC N last thing u will need T800 or a box like the Brentunning for the map

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  3 года назад +2

      I’d like to, but I guarantee dealers won’t allow test rides on this bike because it’s a limited edition. Unless you pre-order and buy, there’s no way they’ll let you ride lol.

  • @hockeymann88
    @hockeymann88 3 года назад

    Your current bike is absolutely stunning and it has insane performance that can never be fully exploited on the street. Modern bikes are so incredibly capable that their incremental improvements may only be worth noting by experienced and capable bike testers that need talking points to tell the story of the newest bike. In the real world we are practically maxed out when it comes to usable performance. It kind of comes down to personal preference on style, brand and maybe some nuance in the dynamics.
    I don't own a Speciale but if I did it would remain in my collection forever.

  • @SpeedShift57
    @SpeedShift57 3 года назад +1

    If you’re going to get the SP just to make different content for your channel, go ahead. Otherwise, no. The two bikes aren’t that far apart and you’ll lose money. The Speciale looks better in my opinion. I dislike the wing look plus it’s over the top for street riding.

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  3 года назад +1

      All great points brother. I wanted to see what you guys thought and the majority opinion is to keep the Speciale. I 100% agree the wings don't look good. Cheers!

      I could just always buy the Marchesini magnesium wheels for the Speciale since it already has the full Akra titanium. I've actually considered it, but $5K for wheels is kinda crazy! Thanks for commenting and Merry Christmas!

    Keep the Speciale. It's a limited edition bike and looks better. Wings are made for planes, not bikes. Add some carbon wheels to your Speciale. Mine is number 1184, and I love it. I've added BST's, and Braketech Iron Axis rotors. Good luck on your decision.

    Absolutely keep what you got. Not enough upgrades to justify going to the new one at that price range. In a year or so you be able to find a used one with the better exhaust and other upgrades. Till then I say enjoy the extremely capable bike you have now. Especially since its paid for.

      @TheDucatiPilot  3 года назад +2

    Personally , That's why I bought a 2021 Street Fighter dark stealth V4S and kept the 2017 1299S. two different style bikes. Too spend that kind of money on a V4 SP,, Go for a Panigale R . The R will be my next Ducati, 2022 or 2023. Just picked up the Street fighter 4 days ago, Very comfortable but still prefer the 1299 . Be safe and stain touch. Oh , I will be in Florida, visiting and going too Daytona in Feb. or March.

    The SP will not be a limited run. It will be numbered but not limited unlike the current Ducati Speciale you own which is numbered out of 1500 worldwide built.

    I would go for the SP in your position. Something about the SP bikes really appeals to me, I wish they made a 1299SP.. that being said, how does the v4 compare to your old 1299? Better? Worse? Preference? I think the 1299s is the best looking ducati ever made but from what it sounds like, the v4 is just the flat out better drivetrain. Interested in your thoughts.
