Believe it or not, I’ve used an Oatmeal Cinnamon cookie to make a single serve Apple Crisp, just for Me! I teach in a school and during the Fall, there’s always lots of apples from all the things we make in class. While having lunch, I felt like having apple crisp..so I improvised by chopping up one apple adding the necessary ingredients - put in a small bowl, then broke up the cookie and put it on top added some water, then put in the microwave for a few minutes. Delicious!
Yes, before there were air fryers, there were microwaves. I used to make them in the microwave all the time. It’s funny how you routinely make something, stop and forget all about it. I think I’ll combine both methods. Thanks!
Yes! I've been wanting to try mini loafs and some of your small batch cookies etc in the air fryer. Apple crisp is a perfect start for a non-baker like me, thank you!
Thanks for this recipe for one serving of crumb topping. i can think of so many uses! Have you done a recipe yet for a pumpkin pudding cake of the self-saucing variety, for one or two servings? Or a sticky toffee pudding for one or two that is self-saucing? Those two desserts are calling to me as the holidays near. Thank you for all the treats you bring us, Leigh Anne! ❤
Sticky Toffee Pudding is on my list and the pumpkin pudding cake is a great idea! I do have a chocolate lava cake for two you might want to check out. Enjoy!
I just made this one! So good. The Air fryer is my best friend. As a fellow Empty Nester I find my airfryer is the best companion for heating up left overs that I have saved in the freezer! And I use it to make all sorts of goodies. I hope you start using yours more because of course that means more goodies for us to make along with you! Oh and thank you for the tip on keeping the apples from browning. Works much better than the old lemon juice trick!
Gone try this in mine Ninja. Love Apple crumble. Often to much for one person. This is quit rigth for me. 😂 Thank you. I change one thing, that is I am gone bake my apple first 10 min in a baking pan with butter.
This will be perfect to bake, to use up more of our apples. Thank you! Also, I can't seem to locate where the info is on the air fryer protective sheets?
Thanks for your great recipe. I love apple crisp and I made it but I added walnuts to the stressuel topping. Angel hugs from Vermont. Keep the airfryer recipes coming.
Yum! Apple Crisp is so delicious. My air fryer isn’t the basket type. I’m going to try it to see if I like the single size better than making a square 9x9 pan of it. Portion control is definitely helpful.😂
I recently found your channel and love your small batch recipes! I have several instant oatmeal packets in my pantry. Since they are already sweetened and spiced, it seems like they’d be a great start to a small batch cookie or crumb topping - any suggestions on how I can use them for something other than oatmeal?
You should use a silicone basket instead of the liner it is reusable and more sturdy , saves money and rinsing with warm water is the only cleaning needed in case of a spill. Home goods is the place to buy .
Haha, I always use my air fryer. I hate to cook, so if it can’t be made in an air fryer I’m extremely unlikely to ever make it. Thank you for this recipe.
I bought 2 ramekins to make your recipes! Will defintiely make this. Just wondering. Is it possible to bake bread, in an air fryer? Does it depend on the air fryer? I don't have a stand mixer so looking to make small batch bread that doesn't require a stand mixer.
Dont use silicone liner that people are suggesting. I tried it and its rubbish and I find it does crisp the same. Oh and when people tell you it more environmently friendly also make me smile as the main polymer is derived from oil.

Love the idea of using a cookie for the crisp part!
Brilliant! 🍏
I truly appreciate the single serve recipes since I have no one to cook for but myself.
I am so glad you find them helpful!

Hope you enjoy!
For those small ramekins and cake tins I use my (preserver) jar lifter tongs to take hot things in and out of air fryer
Great tip!
I don’t have an air fryer, but I am definitely gonna make this tomorrow in the oven. It looks delicious!
Enjoy!!
Thanks so much for using the air fryer. As a widow cooking for one I don't even have a big oven!
You are welcome, watch for more to come!

I'm surprised the air flow didn't blow off the topping. Looks delicious
I'll be trying this.
Nope, it stayed right on top!

Thanks very much for this quick 'n' easy recipe. It is so simple to make, and tastes so good!

I would definitely like to see more recipes for one, done in the air fryer.
More coming soon!

I think they'd work great - just replace oatmeal with the mix for a crisp topping
I'd consider making a batch of the strudel topping and keeping it at the ready in the freezer. One less step 🤣
That's a great tip!

Excellent info to know!
HomeGoods is 100 miles away from me; I will check with our local TJMaxx. 😊
@@janelletucker4943 would have suggested Amazon but it is more expensive but TJ M has them too.
I will check it out - sounds like a great idea!
@@janelletucker4943: Amazon has these.
Thankyou for air fryer version... I always cook my single serving in my toaster oven , but may get brave and try in my compact Size air fryer 🍏🍎🥧
Hope you love it!
WOOOOOOOOOO! Going to be GOOD!
So good!

It is definitely possible but may depend on your air fryer.
You can also use Splenda sugar free condensed milk!!!
What is the advantage of the air fryer please?❤
Lots of people don't like to have to heat up their oven for a small serving.
What temp and how long in the Oven? You say Oven or Air Fryer. I don't use a Air fryer.
You can use the same baking directions that I give for the airfryer for your oven.
What can be used instead of aluminum foil to cover?
I've only used aluminum foil, sorry
Lemon juice preserves apples too
It does but I find it does leave a lemon flavor behind.

Thanks for the tip!
A lot of work for only one serving.
When all you need is one serving though, it's definitely worth it.
