I've got a Euro 4 Piaggio Typhoon 50 and am looking to de-restrict it. When doing so, do I just need to disable the ECU then swap out the Variator centre for the de-restricted one? Some people have said that I may need to increase the main jet so I'm a bit unsure weather it's necessary or not.
@@scooterstreetau Yeah it was a very helpful watch but I wasn’t planning on getting a sport exhaust so just wondering if the ECU and Variator centre is all that has to be done to derestrict it and to find out if increasing the main jet in unnecessary? Thanks
No probs, yes if you alter anything to do with the air flow or carby you should take care and raise the jet to be safe, it can always be reduced in jet size to take the precaustion.@@connorwu1233
This video is really informative and simple. I don't have this make of scooter, but a Chinese import. Baja C125, 2006. My friend doesn't have the key and I was wondering if I would have to change the whole switch out. This seems much easier. What sort of information do I need to replace the barrel, or are they all basically the same if I match the length?
Hei, If you are reffering to the pin at 3:42. It sits across the slot, the end does not go in to the hole/slot. At 4:07 the installing of the pin, again it slides over the slot to hold the barrel in place. lykke til🙌
Any chance you guys sell the clip that holds the housing?
Is that the U shaped clip? No we don't have it as a single item. Send us an email to activate the enquiry.
Im a mechanic i know all this but still its was helpfull and new to learn keep it up keep going

Did you watch the video on The Euro 4 Typhoon? If not, head over and check it out.

Sorry just to clarify 😂, does the main jet need to be increased even if I’m not installing a sport exhaust?

Thanks. Would you recommend I change the rollers as I live in a hilly area and currently only going around 30kph/20mph?@@scooterstreetau

Hello and thank you. For your situation, remove the lock assembly and take it to a good Locksmith. The Locksmith can cut the matching key.
On the seat lock, do you put the pin inside the hole to lock it into place? Or is one side of the pin in the hole and the other around the outside? 😅
