    We have an Ember, yep it's not a replacement for the Phantom though it does an amazing job. It's just important that you expose things properly is all.

      Yes! Perfect exposure is key!

    Cool video . For studio work with lighting . Will it needs special lighting to synch with the high fps?

      @wearemxr  Месяц назад

      Yeah, you will definitely need a lot of light working with high fps in the studio.

    Awesome video Christoph! I wish you went more into the color science. I shot with the Ember on a commercial shoot in January and felt the color was so weird with HLG that I played it safe and only used rec. 709. Also it would be great if you mentioned that for renting the Phantom (if I'm not mistaken) you need special license or an operator, which is the biggeet drawback when projects come up fast and have a low budget.

      Very good points! Yes, the color of the Ember is quite unusual. We experimented a bit and found a good recipe for our in-house powergrade in Resolve. We might do a quick video about how we grade Ember in an upcoming project.
      Regarding the Phantom: one of the main reasons we purchased it a while ago was that most rental houses only rent it out with an expensive operator. That’s a major drawback, and honestly, the camera isn’t hard to operate or understand at all!

      I would love to see a video on how you deal with the colors of the ember! We are a small production company based in Germany and we are currently considering to buy the ember. Since we do mostly product stuff in studio environments we should be able to deal with the highlights, but it is still sad to hear that the colors aren’t that good. Unfortunately, our budget doesn’t allow to purchase something like a phantom so I don’t really see an alternative to the amber. I mean we actually considered if we could make the freefly wave work just to give you an idea of where we are coming from 😁 Compared to that we thought the ember looked stellar 😅

      But yeah the phantom looked much better than the ember, especially outdoors I think you really have to be careful to protect your highlights. Some of the ember shots you showed in the forrest wouldn’t be deliverable imo

      Have you tried using a black pro mist filter on the ember ? Should help tame the highlights a little in a sense

    Even though I dislike Kron Technologies, I prefer the Chronos 4K12 over the S5K. Just to note that FPS4000 did 4K at like 500FPS *years* ago and no one even came close until recently.

    Do you have a trigger button on the handle? Where can I get that. I would love to have a trigger button on the handle of my phantom.

    • @wearemxr
      @wearemxr  Месяц назад

      Yes, we created it by ourselves. The Veo has a standard bnc trigger port and actually any trigger button will work with that.

    What do you think about the new Chronos 4k RAW 500 fps 12 bit and 10 bit 1,000fps? thanks!

      Chronos RAW is good, but the monitor look awful. I have a very small test on my channel you may check it out.

    • @DjAlonDevil
      @DjAlonDevil 17 дней назад

      Yeah, the Chronos 4K12 is a good option although it uses a M43 sensor which is smaller than the APS-C one on the S5K. The Chronos offer better higher framerates as well.
