  • KMFDM (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, loosely translated as "no pity for the majority") -- The German-American Project/Band and also the Foundation Stone of Industrial music and Culture, as we know it! Not only the music but also the official videos of KMFDM (and the album covers) are works of Industrial Art.
    There are too many albums and singles of KMFDM (and associated projects) out there. "Our" Kapt'n and leader Sasha Konietzko is the most productive industrial artist. "Productive" and "Inspired" are the 2 key-words of the "experimental lab" they made.
    Listen to the Heavy Metal Industry, called KMFDM check out those videos and buy the albums. If you are not familiar with "Symbols", Adios", "Nihil", "Naïve", "Angst", "Attack" "Uaioe" and many more, you are not familiar with the roots of industrial music.
    Enjoy a fine piece of machinery that works "Better than the Best & Harder than the Rest", since the early 80's: Son of a GUN (Superhero Number One)!!!

    I always found music video fascinating. He's the stereotypical American nationalist hero, to the point he's got a symbol for capitalism on his chest, genuinely being a helping hand, and when he gets corrupted THEN his Dollar sign logo and Americana disappears.
    And then at the end when he waves the stars and stripes again for the first time in who even knows how long, like he's taking those conservative ideals and using the people he just saved as the reason for their existence, completely detached from what the ruling class and regime wants those things to mean.

      "Son of a gun, Master of fate

      that includes conventional ideas about capitalism wealth and nation I suppose, he enjoys them but doesn't allow them to dictate him nor limit his desire to help people.

    The disturbing thing is that if you pay attention to the lyrics... it's as if I were describing the events of the massacre, let's say it seems that THEY imitated the lyrics of the song in real life...

    • @sussybaka1409
      @sussybaka1409 8 месяцев назад +5

      I’m assuming I know which massacre you are talking about. And yes, E&D were huge fans of KMFDM, they owned multiple band shirts, quoted songs in their journals. The lyrics seemed to resonate with Eric. Although it’s important to remember that pop culture & surroundings are not to blame. Even if they felt left out, it was their responsibility to be reasonable. They knew right from wrong. Blaming bullying is ridiculous. Those two boys were just power hungry, they had never felt in control of powerful, being rejected from what felt like everything. They handled that by together harboring hate and resentment towards society & people. They gave KMFDM a bad reputation. The violence and hate was inside those two boys already, they just found something to project it through. Truly tragic. Their brains weren’t fully developed, it’s crazy what immaturity can do to people.

      1) Would you do it with the budget they had to work with?
      2) With 30 year old techniques?
      3) You could just... you know... do it. Do it for the sake of art and to prove your skills. No point saying what you could have done in theory, show your work.
