Don't follow someone else's routine. Do something daily that is fun, that makes you feel like a kid again and that doesn't feel like work. Play every day. Don't workout!
Yes, they can do that, but keeping in mind that they don't go hard and get exhausted. Start doing it for 1 MIN every day and then you can increase intensity and time duration.
I'm 69. I can only jump rope for 1 minute. I DO exercise for about 30 min 5x a week tho. My dogs and I also take 20-30 min walks most days. I plan to walk up and down my apartment flight of stairs 3x in a row, seeing how fast I can ascend, then coming down more slowly. That way, I can get in some HIIT, increasing the challenge to 5 reps over time.
None of the bodybuilding channels on RUclips focus on the heart as the main muscle that needs building. The focus in Bodybuilding world is on all the other muscles being beautiful and toned. They talk down on cardio as an evil, boring necessity. I think it should be # 1. A conditioned body looks better than an overly muscled one - plus - it will be more practical for everyday use.
no offense, but.....the weight lifting is an unbelievable cardio workout.......the issue really becomes about how aerobic body builders are.....which, if you don't do some kind of walking, running, jumping or burpees.....you miss the aerobic conditioning of moving your own body weight......weight lifters heart rates rise quite a bit....and they do experience heavy breathing as well, but its not the same as when you have to move your entire body..never the less, body builders or weight lifters are in very good shape in relative terms.....and its a high intensity type training workout.....anyway, no hating on you nor am I a bodybuilder, but if you have not lifted weights in an intense manner than its easy to think you are getting not cardio conditioning from doing it......
May be, there are many options and are applicable in different conditions in different way. Do not conclude that a solution is applicable to all or whole earth. Rigid approach makes things difficult
1) You should be aware that simply raising heart rate is not the same as raising it through appropriate exercise. For example, resistance training, such as Powerlifting, Weightlifting and Bodybuilding are all forms of weight training that raisec the heart rate, but they don't have the same type of cardiovascular benefits as aerobic training - zone 2 pace for 30 mins plus and passing the talk test. After all, you could make someone's heart spike by showing them a scary movie or taking them on a roller coaster - their heart rate will go up, but it won't do much for fitness. The adaptations from long slow distance work impact the walls of the left ventricle by causing an increase in stroke volume - more blood pumped per beat, lower heart rate and so on. Heavy resistance training can, in contrast, cause thickening of the ventricular walls and a reduced stroke volume. While the force of blood ejection goes up, the stroke volume goes down, also there can be increased vascular resistance and increased blood pressure. So, not all increases in heart rate contribute to longevity. 2) The Burpee was designed by Royal Huddleston Burpee Sr. as a "test" of existing fitness for the military; like the step test, it was meant to be quick and easy to apply. It was not intended to be used as a means of general fitness training anymore than a lab stress test is intended for general training. The strict burpee is a very difficult exercise for less agile people and for those who are overweight it might be dangerous to joints and might overtax them. Even fairly fit people will find 2 minutes of burpees difficult to achieve.
Yeah, this advice can be good for people who dont have any other issues apart from stress induced aging, natural aging etc , if you have any other types of problems or have comorbidities you should not be attempting to do anything but walking first and foremost, burpess, skipping rope is HIGHLY taxing on the heart and lungs, you have to work your way up to 5 minutes with skipping, try skipping straight for 30 seconds first, when you can without making more than 3 mistakes, try a minute, etc etc etc, (the reasoning for 3 mistakes is focusing on form ratger than time, naturally it will take you longer, by the time you can, you will be pushing yourself past time to a place where your body is comfortable and in rythim with your bodily capabilities....burpees includes the whole body so you need to warmup, you need t donspecific joint stretching etc...
