A quick tip for everyone using the GP 200. Presently the unit doesn’t have stereo width to the effects, I suggest using the M chorus modulation effect pre or post amp with a 20% mix and 20% depth, this gives much wider space for the tone especially for the heavy crunch rhythm and even for lead if you wish so.

Great Video!! I love how you have your GP200 setup. I would love to see you do a video that
actually goes through the process of programming the footswitches and how you assign them to the different effects. The manual doesn't really go to much detail about setting the footswitches. Also most of the other videos just want to show you how it sounds with very little explanation on they achieved the results. Any way it would be great if someone who actually uses the GP200 to perform with did a real hands on in depth tutorial!
Thanks Again for a Great Video of the GP200!

For me it's the perfect unit. Size, price, functions, quality. It's all there. One thing that is missing: Global Tempo. You can only set bpm per patch so if you switch you have to tap or manually set tempo... We need an option that lets us set global tempo that applies to every patch.

I'm the guitarist in a tribute band (UB40) and play a Zoom G3 direct to PA. I've tried every brand of MultiFX and keep coming back to Zoom. I am considering the Valeton but have been concerned about reviews stating the modulations are weak?
Although I use fairly subtle settings I rely on one good phaser effect.
I note that the GP200s main competitor the Pod Go doesn't have balanced XLR output, that's a prerequisite for serious stage use imo. I'm glad to see a JC120 (staple reggae amp) is simulated in this unit too.

Wow that’s firstly some amazing playing. Very impressive. And the way the unit itself sounds is a lot better than I would have thought. Being somewhat of a digital noob I always use analogue pedals through and amp. ( am a dinosaur lol ) . But am I right in thinking this negates the need for any amp and can be played straight into front of house. Not being technical is that easy to do? I’m so tempted by this unit. Much respect and new subscriber right here from UK

I realize this video is over a year old, but I just recently got my GP-200. Could you explain how to assign the expression pedal to the preamp overdrive and distortion effects? I looked through the manual and went through my unit but couldn’t figure it out. Can you do this on the unit or does it have to be done through the software? Thank you for putting together this very useful video!

I’m using it as a volume pedal placed before the amp block. Set minimum volume to where it starts cleaning up then 100% volume on toe down
