Marvin fought a much greener Adesanya. Kelvin fought a better version and he dropped him and made it competitive. Marvin just kept rushing in and throwing his stiff straight punches (as usual). Which caught Israel off guard, since he figured that Marvin would respect his striking a little more. Kelvin would smoke Marvin. Which he already does in the training room as we've seen via Instagram. His boxing is wayyyy better. Not even close. Marvin is a very tenacious guy tho, I'll give him that. Marvin's game is all about catching you with a straight punch, then taking you down and pounding you. Which he was unsuccessful in doing so with a green Israel. Trust me if Israel made easy work of a monster like Paulo, he'll end Marvin this time around.

Doubt it, Dana likes Mike Perry because his fights are never boring win or lose. He addressed this the other week when asked about what's next for Perry. Dana said he was an exciting fun fighter and he loves watching him fight. Usually those types of fighters that Dana likes stick around.

And Romero literally gave Whittaker clinical depression from all the head trauma, and Whittaker outright refuses to fight Romero a third time. Whittaker calls Romero the "boogie man" of the division. Even Darren Till says Romero is the one guy he's too scared to fight. And most people thought Romero beat Costa. Romero was also robbed against Izzy, because he was the aggressor and he had Izzy on the run the whole fight. So it's very misleading and reductive for Dana to say Romero lost 4 of his last 5 fights. 😔

Marvin fought a much greener Adesanya. Kelvin fought a better version and he dropped him and made it competitive. Marvin just kept rushing in and throwing his stiff straight punches (as usual). Which caught Israel off guard, since he figured that Marvin would respect his striking a little more. Kelvin would smoke Marvin. Which he already does in the training room as we've seen via Instagram. His boxing is wayyyy better. Not even close. Marvin is a very tenacious guy tho, I'll give him that.
Marvin's game is all about catching you with a straight punch, then taking you down and pounding you. Which he was unsuccessful in doing so with a green Israel. Trust me if Israel made easy work of a monster like Paulo, he'll end Marvin this time around.

Every time I saw Yoel fight I was amazed of how someone of his age could compite in that level. He was an inspiration cause he showed us that we can still improve despite the age. I just hope to see him again one more time

I agree with you but the way Romero has been fighting is just weird - that Costa and Izzy fight was just weird. He's been given a chance to fight for the title 4 times out of his last 5 fights He loses to Whittaker for the title - and then gets a shot with Rockhold but misses weight. Gets a title shot with Whittaker again and misses weight again. Loses to paulo costa and gets a title shot with izzy and throws 5 punches. I love Romero and I agree with you that 0-3 is kind of misleading but... he doesn't seem to be doing anything different after getting a shot at the title FOUR times while losing FOUR of his last FIVE.

If anything, the UFC helped ESPN out, A LOT, not the other way around. The UFC is the biggest event on ESPN right now. They can cut ESPN lose and go back to Fox Sports if they wanted to which was an option when ESPN tried to tell Dana that they couldn't put fights on do to covid. Dana literally said that if ESPN and Disney wanted to play games and try to tell them what to do, they will go back to Fox Sports because no one will tell them when and where they can put on fights. ESPN needs the UFC, the UFC doesn't need ESPN.

Romero's last 5 fights were all against champions and #1 contenders. Dana even said he thought Romero beat Whittaker in their second fight. And Romero literally gave Whittaker clinical depression from all the head trauma, and Whittaker outright refuses to fight Romero a third time. Whittaker calls Romero the "boogie man" of the division. Even Darren Till says Romero is the one guy he's too scared to fight. And most people thought Romero beat Costa. Romero was also robbed against Izzy, because he was the aggressor and he had Izzy on the run the whole fight. So it's very misleading and reductive for Dana to say Romero lost 4 of his last 5 fights. 😔
Even today Yoel is probably a top 5 MW fighter.
