wow. it amazes me how much i love every single one of their songs. i agree with a previous post about being able to listen to their albums straight through and being blown away by them all. their writing, rhythm;everything is just fantastic. i can see how they may not be for everyone, but if you really appreciate the story of their songs, you can't help but love them. can't wait for the new album. i've seen them live twice. i will see them every time they come to raleigh. fan for life.

Just listened to this song on the radio, it's a beautiful sound. If they still need a name Runaway is good but I liked the image of being led to the flood, invoked by the lyrics.

You know what I like about the national. Evyertime I see them they just stand and play. No bullshit. Nothing flashy just good music. If you can get a good song without halfnaked lady's humping your legs you probably have talent.
The National is just an all around amazing band. Lyrically and instrumentally their songs just seem to take me over. Also, i don't know very many bands, indie or mainstream, that can come out with so many songs, so consistently, that i just love. Name one "bad" National song...Saying that, Alligator and Boxer have many different aspects to them but i love alligator because of the way Matt Berninger gets so passionate. Sorry for being so wordy, what a great band. You forgot All the Wine...unreal.
I'm agree with you, i prefer Alligator, for me it's absolutly incredible, all songs are amazing, I can listen it regularly without problems. I dont find fair words to say what extent ALLIGATOR is splendid... I'm French ;-D

I'm someone lucky enough to have 'stumbled upon' this amazing band. His voice is incredible, so cool and strong, yet relaxed.
