After having watched this interview I can say that I have a deeper sense of respect for this band. i find myself having a similar reaction with other interviews on this show. Thank you all very much.
Only found The National 8months ago and they wern't a grower for me. I loved the first song I heard by them instantly and when I checked them out it was the same with all the other songs Matts voice is incredible
"What happened to Abbey Road?" So true. Regardless of what people might say or even how The Beatles themselves belittled it later in the 70s, Abbey Road is by far The Beatles' best album ever, and one of the best in the history of popular music, and far superior to Sgt Pepper's.
These guys are so original and so talented, everyone should listen to them!

i love every single member in this band but why do the dessener brothers have lisps?
Is it me, or is it totally awkward how the rest of the band is standing there and staring at them....?
