I picked up the C14 that comes with the white wheels as well, and also was not a fan of them. I took a small drill bit and drilled out the holes along the wheel and painted them chrome. They look much better with just those little holes. I have the C24 also, and am overall very happy with my WPL purchases.
Yeah I think the black wheels look less plastic and cheap. For the money they're pretty decent and nice cheap fun. 👍

I enjoyed mine and they make great little project trucks to weather and detail up! They are very nicely detailed bodies and if driven scale and not like a 1/10th truck it seemed to do very well. Can't really beat it for being under $50!!!
Totally agree, I think as long as you buy it with the mindset it's toy grade not hobby grade, its great value for money. I'm looking forward to upgrading mine with some decent suspension and better electronics, as cheaply as possible and see how it does. 👍

Yeah abt type of skid plate would help, it would still get you hung up a bit though as it's the lowest point. 👍

Yeah for the price it's pretty decent, toy grade granted, but for $45 compared to what you'd get it in a toy shop, it's much better. 👍

I coated the esc/receiver in conformal coating to waterproof it. It's not waterproof out the box. 👍

WPL is awesome! Be sure to get the KM metal kit tho..its like night and day compared to the RTR you bought
Thanks very much for the tip. I do have a KM B16, but I killed the motor. I think my only gripe with the KM kits was the meshing/binding on the diff gears.
@Do U RC i have 2 KM kits and no problem with binding at all🤷♂️
@CANNABIS OUTLAWZ Maybe I was just unlucky then, but they do have videos on their website about the issue. I just found it a bit annoying really. Haven't ran it since the motor burnt out, got a new 2 speed on my desk waiting to go in. 👍

What’s the deal with the steering and the front end sinking down when you turn right I believe….. I’ve seen it on few WPL rigs why does it do that?
Been a while since I ran it, bit think it's the steering servo pulling it down as the stock suspension isn't great. 👍

@@DoURC well in your experience would you say getting different shocks and tires would make a fair amount of difference?
@Atmotom1 Yes definitely, the stock electronics aren't great, but they're usable. Changing the shocks and tyres would make a big difference. 👍
@@DoURC so I know you showed the controller and said it wasn’t the best but you can still crawl with this? I’m not worried about goin fast I’m more interested in slow rock crawling. I can buy the better wheels and stuff as I go but I imagine the controller isn’t something that I can change
@Atmotom1 You could still change the electrics if you wanted too. The slow speed control isn't the best. Their v2 is better, but if you've got the stock cheap one it's not great. I've got some running videos on my channel if that helps, in my Crawling & Trailing playlist 👍
If you've got a bigger budget available, something like an FMS FCX24 or FCX18 is much better. 👍

That's weird, is it an old one? Both my C24 and C24-1 have it and they're both just the rtr version. 👍

It looks like they've changed the listing, which happens a lot on Aliexpress. I've updated the description, but your best bet is just search on Aliexpress for WPL C24 and see which is the best deal for you. 👍

I wouldn't say they're trash, toy grade yes and nowhere near hobby grade, but they have potential and are super cheap. 👍
Plus the hardbodies are cool for how cheap they are. 👍
You obviously havent seen the KM..the metal kit is definitely hobby grade..there is nothing toy about it

I still like the rtr's though. I think it's all about being realistic and what you paid for it. You can't really expect a hobby grade rc for $45 in 1/16 scale imo. 👍
@CANNABIS OUTLAWZ I'd still say the KM's are a cheap hobby grade. Nowhere near as good as a proper hobby grade rc, but again its all about cost isn't it. 👍
@Do U RC there is no other 1/16 truck on the market that is this scale...its more about the scaleness and realisn for me..i have $180 in my wpl i have all metal everything..lol i could have bout an Axial 1/24 for that price but its all plastic still 😢 i would say axial and all the 1/24 scale are toys 🤷♂️
is it water proof as stock or do you need upgrades
No it's not waterproof, you could coat the esc etc in conformal coating. 👍
