  • This video shows in 1 minute 20 how to remove the radio in a Mini Cooper. The remainder of the video is the installation, which is basically in reverse order.
I had to replace my radio unit due a blank display.

Really ? Your not gonna show how you got the top driver screw ? Gotta go watch a different video to find out.

I have the exact radio in my R52. Radio works but all the buttons are non-responsive except for the power/volume button. I'm trying to find a replacement. Only finding units with the AM/FM buttons on the left side so I don't know if it's compatible. Will the units with the AM/FM on the right side work? TIA

I want aware of the difference in stereo. I have a few over here and they are all the same. However, I had one with a casette player. That wasn't exchangeable with a facelift r52. In this video the stereo came from a 2002 r50 and went into a 2004 r52. No issues at all.
Btw you might try disconnecting it from power, wait a bit and put it back. Might help.

Absolutely ridiculous for an "informative video, it only shows half a job that would be impossible to do without showing how to get the right side trim panel out also.
