Thank you sir, Bloody good video. I very much like the the re- moving of the dash panels, SO much easy'er than taking the center panel out. CHEERS fella..
Great video. Very helpful as I’m a new owner. Going looking for your dash cam one now. Only problem was when you fit the DAB Ariel wasn’t very clear due to light window etc. but you get the idea. Keep it up!
Congratulations on the high-quality video. For my Mini Cooper, I just purchased the DAB KMM-BT408DAB car radio from eBay. Unfortunately, the provided adapter is not compatible with my socket, which is the same as yours shown in the video. Do you know where I can find it? Again, congratulations and thank you. Willy
How does the Kenwood speaker connect to the HK amp? I've swapped the head unit and it turns on the amp (you can hear the speakers activate) but it won't send audio?
Wanted to ask before I buy this head unit for my car, does it come with the adaptors or do you have to buy them separately? Specifically the ones just for the head unit rather than the ones for the microphone/dab radio.
Is it possible to move the aircon controls in the radio spot and move the radio down? I want to install a flip out screen but worried about the trim above the top din
Great video! But when I clicked on the link of the wiring harness it says it's not compatible with the Hardem karden speakers which my mini Cooper has that. I wonder what it means when it says that
Would this method of removing dash panels be the same for those with a Passenger Airbag?? I have a feeling people will ruin their dash panel and have to buy a whole new airbag unit from bmw mini 😞
I’m unsure as I don’t have a passenger airbag equipped car available to check with. It may be necessary to do the centre console removal method instead if that is the case. Easy enough but just takes longer.
I have done an install for a new radio (mini 2006) but after putting it in, it doesn’t have any sound. Some people are saying it’s because I have an upgraded amp? But no idea how to sort that, something about a blue cable with a white line in it (I think the one with a tab on the end of it) going into the red cables? Any help would be great
Fantastic - I would not have attempted this without your video. Now I have done a professional job and have dab in the car. Thank you! 😊
Thank you for taking the time to make this video . replacing stereo took about 20 minutes ( without DAB antenna ) following your instructions.

Great video mate
Awesome video! Very clear.
Any tips for checking compatibility between the unit and car stereo system?
Thanks for the video ;)
Don’t suppose you know where could buy the screws from as got a couple missing.
New there would be an easy way thank you 🙏
Hey Kev, Could you please let me know if this solution worked with the steering wheel controls. Many thanks. L
Great handy video. Does this install allow the steering wheel controls to still work?

have you changed the placement of the microphone at all ?
Nope, I’ve left it where it is and it works great 👍🏻
Great video! But when I clicked on the link of the wiring harness it says it's not compatible with the Hardem karden speakers which my mini Cooper has that. I wonder what it means when it says that
I have the hardem Karden speakers also.. have you found out what we need to change the radio?
You just need the correct lead from connects2
Did this mini have a Harmon Karmon amp
No mate, it didn’t.
I did mine with the hk amp - you just need a different connector from Connects2
would the kit work for mini R56 ?
