It’s an odd place for an ancient Greek symbol, later used by the Romans to be… and no one seems to know why it’s there. I know of other carvings in BSF but they’re eroded away to the point where it’s hard to tell what they’re about. One has actually been semi destroyed by someone with an axe or something. There’s a cross carved right above the destroyed area. Strange… I’m going to go back to the other one and make an attempt to decipher it, hopefully with some success. Thanks Scott. Take care!
I’m trying to get going again. I’m having a few side effects from the medications I’m on. Been going back and forth to the doctor and have another appointment coming up next week. Except for the storm damage from almost 3 weeks ago, BSF is looking good. There are still areas closed off to the public. I’m anxious to get back over there and see how much damage was done. I got caught out Divide Road when the storm hit and was stranded for hours. There was extensive damage to say the least! I almost had to spend the night over there! Take care Karl. Hopefully a hike will be in our future.
