"ricochet" puh-leaze. Kid didn't do to bad at all. And probably better than his brother. What a lovely aircraft, it may look a little ungainly on the ground, but aloft the 2-33 just melts your heart.
I soloed in 2-22 some years earlier at Sky Sailing in Fremont. It and the adjacent drag strip are long gone. There used to be a sailplanes ridge soaring on Mission peak a lot. Now you never see any.
I'll catch hell for this but the published G-limits for this glider are crap. This aircraft has The Highest G-Rating of any aircraft EVER built. Positive 12 negative 11 and a half. Flew a couple of them for a hundred hours total PIC in the '80s.

You got me by a couple of years I soloed in a 2-33 in 1981.
The school had a 2-32 but they only used it for rides.
Is this young pilot still soaring at Blairstown? Looking forward to visiting Blairstown.
Yup. He competes in like world championships and stuff now.
@@Mooney201er still active after 14 years is crazy and that's dedication
That first solo flight is a big deal. I suppose he had to pull more spoilers to get it down in time.

Not to seem homphobic, but this glider has the gayest trim I have ever seen. It needs a spray over of cub yellow.
😂
