I was the first born grandchild of my grandparents. I was also the only one in my family who ended up being diabetic like my grandpa. My grandpa always spoiled me like no other until he died. Then my grandma took over the spoiling. I have moderate to severe anxiety and my grandmas place was the only place I could go, that the moment I entered her house the anxiety automatically disappeared. She was my saving grace when it came to my anxiety. I will never eat meatloaf or deviled eggs again because I miss her cooking. She's been gone now three years. I will always miss her. We all have that grandma or grandpa that we miss. I love you grandma.
We can all laugh here and now but, admit it that we all miss those great family traditions. All sitting around the table with three or four generations laughing and boisterous conversations . Good food , good family and good times. Just think of what they went through to come here . Broken families and hard times for many , leaving loved ones . My grandfathers family sent him to America with his uncle at 15 years old, never to see his parents again.
😢💔🤗
So true
Oh how I miss my Grandparents. I’m Jewish. But, mine was going Chicken 🐓 Matzoh Ball Soup 🍜 and Brisket in a Schmata House 🏡 Dress 👗 with Tissues in her pockets and Cherry 🍒 Cough Drops. Same knotted stockings with the Black Orthopedic Shoes. And, Grandpa Davening/Praying in the Early Mornings. I ALWAYS felt so safe and SO much Love ❤️ in their Home 🏡. I miss you Grandma and Grandpa. Please look after Mommy for me and Daddy too. I miss you 😢 ALL EVERYDAY. 🙏🏽😇💔❌⭕️😢🫂

Nonni not nonna lived with me and my Italian husband and our one year old. Nicholas ate 14 raviolis today! Omg! The best food! She ironed my babies tee shirts!Minestrone, pasta, biscotti…God bless her
I miss my grandma Palma from Calabria. She was the best. She had a book of hand written recipes that she never needed to refer to because she remembered it after she wrote it down. She is the reason I needed to start a running regimen
My mother Pina was also born in Calabria and she and my Nonna and Aunties taught me a World full of beautiful recipes.
Same - exactly the same. When I lived in New York, my grandmother lived on the third floor, just cooked and cooked and cooked. ❤😊
I love this piece SO much! I had two grandmas that cooked in the basement in their housecoats!❤😂 We ate and talked about food non-stop! My Italian grandma made pizzelles constantly. No one liked them but my mother and then she bought a waffle iron and started making them too! They were everywhere at the house. I laugh whenever I see them now!❤😂
Reliving my entire family and upbringing.
Miss my Grandparents. And parents.
It's official, I'm an orphan.
Thanx for making me laugh...
Same here. We would go to my Grandma's house every Sunday!! My Grandpa was making homemade noodles and hanging them up on wooden little shelves he made. My Grandma was making sugo in the basement all day!!! Sugo is homemade spaghetti sauce.. It was pure delight when we walked in. My God it smelled like an Italian Market!!!! I miss those days, so many memories....❤❤❤❤....
They don't make them like that anymore. They were the best, miss mine.
Grandmother's are amazing. Hope you see yours again in heaven my friend. 🙏
My two Italian grandmothers were the best. Could make shit taste good if given the challenge.
My Pennsylvania Dutch grandmom always had something on the stove or a pie in the oven. Miss her and granpop the most of anyone I've lost, and I've lost a lot of people.
You’re the best Sebastian. Thank you for the laughs!
Thanks for reminding me of my childhood.I miss my mamma and my Nonna! RIP🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Reminds me of my Sicilian grandparents living up in upstate New York. The whole house smells of sauce all the time, simmering on the stove all day long. Loved it !!
I just absolutely love him
I thought my grandmother was in the pie business she made so many 😂
SM ... you're soooo right 😂😂😂... my Grandma was a cookie pusher 🍪... 'it aint right'
I saw all his shows on Netflix because I’m Italian and I live in southern of Italy , and yes….it’s everything true! Thanks Sebastian to make me laugh 😂😂😂
There's nothing that can ever compare to the love we get from our grandparents!
Oh my God. Hysterically funny.
For me, it was my mother, who wasn't Sicilian, and my Aunt Margaret, my father's sister. Both of these women were TREMENDOUS cooks. My paternal grandfather taught my mother how to cook Sicilian, and she ran with it. Mom and Aunt Margaret traded off holidays between our families and LORD, it was always a non-stop FEAST. They're both gone now, but I learned how to make the family sauce to keep some of our traditions going. The women of today fail to realize the importance of family and keeping traditions alive. Those women in my life are thought of so highly, there's nothing higher except for GOD Himself.
Very true kid
I never met any of my grandparents, they were gone before I was born. I'm in my 60s now, and all the family elders are also gone, but they were old school, vast majority of them WW II veterans. They treated us kids like gold, we never had to ask for anything but of course we never did either. It was disrespectful. The women all cooked, and like Sebastian said you didn't have to take more than 3 or 4 steps to find snacks while they were throwing down for a Sunday or holiday dinner. They all could sew, knit, fix things around the house, and were kitchen physicians when needed.
I miss them all more than they could know. They're waiting for us, and it will be a happy day for me, if the Lord is willing.
I'm 84 now and I can still remember like it was yesterday, our Sunday walk to grandma's house , it was family diner EVERY Sunday, rain or shine, time to see Aunts,Uncles and all your cousins. Grandma's sauce was the best, she'd give you that one meatball in the kitchen with a piece of Italian bread. Those were the good old days. I don't remember what I did yesterday but I remember my grandpa slipping me a dollar like he was giving me nuclear codes. Yep those were the days
@@jamescherico749 Blessings to you and yours.
@flyoverkid55 back at you kiddo, you could of won a lot of money but here I am 84yrs. young
Lol, your grandmother reminds me of my old Italian neighbor that I grew up with in the 60's. Mrs. Grimaldi. She taught me how to make lasagna. She ground her own meat and made her own pasta. You might not think that was a big deal, but for a kid from orlando florida, it was. 😊 such great times❤
😂😅😂 hilarious!
I love ITALIAN FOOD!
LASAGNA 🤗❤️👍
I can relate that’s all we did was eat on the holiday. Oh my God, the food, lasagna soup anti-pasta on and on and every Sunday gravy so much for thank God I’m not fat 120 but the rest of them wow 😂 lmao

My grandma kept a nylon stocking with change in her draw. She funded all my trips to the candy store and pinball. R.I.P abuela.

Today’s generation of women are learning how to cook from TikTok 🤨
Disrespectful to Grandma.
