Thanks for the videos! This is the most beautiful scene of Lightning Returns, I think :) The relationship between Lightning and Snow is one of my favorites. I really like your comments and opinions of Final Fantasy games, they are open-minded and objective, I think all the fans of this series have to be like you. I love the first ten Final Fantasy, and of course I have my preferences and I criticize, but I really love XIII too (even more of some "olds") and I think the new games are too much discredited. And uh, sorry for the bad english, I'm italian. I understand english very well, but write is really a pain for me :P Maybe I should do this more often!

Yeah Snow really grew on me in XIII I hated him to begin with but really liked him by the end of the game. Snow and Hope had the best character development in XIII imo
Same here. I mean Snow's original impression that he got was just someone cocky and arrogant. However as the game grew on you could tell he develped quite nicely and that he loved Serah. And his theme music is really awesome

LOVE this boss fight! Seriously! Snow in this game is badass, dude has the best character development in the entire trilogy in my opinion He is definitely a better Villain then he is a cocky,annoying ass "hero" like he was in FFXIII but i guess he had to be so he can be be built up to be this in LR. XIII had an amazing concept(well it WAS written by Nojima and came up by Kitase). Should of made Snow the Villain in FFXIII-2,Killed Serah off in FFXIII(Caius could kill her:D!),Made Caius a Villian in FFXIII and have Noel be his apprentice aswell as Yeul be both Caius AND Noel love interest, Gave Sazh,Vanille,Fang and Hope WAY WAY!!! more back story(Hope had a good one but they def messed up), Give Lightning more of a past then just her being a tight ass constantly and make her development go way way faster( too slow in FFXIII) and Made Bhuni the final FINAL boss in XIII-2 finishing off with The world coming to an end considering Bhuni is now dead, Caius returns and he reverses what Bhuni has done since FFXIII sacrificing himself and destroying anything Magic,Crystal related renewing the world. The Ending will show life carried on without magic/crystals etc and show everyones life carried on in a nice long CG cutscene. ^ Thats how i thought the story should of went tbh but ofcourse its Toriyama we are talking about here...Watanabe and Toriyama seriously need lessons from Sakaguchi or Nojima..Hope Toriyama and Watanabe go to the Mobile Team bringing up Tabata. Type-0 should of been FFXIIII and This nonsense be on PSP...
Snow's not a villain here. did you read the translation in desc.? He absorbs the chaos for the good of the people but ultimately wants Lightning to kill him since he sees himself as such a failure. He only fights back due to losing his mind to his Cie'th form. I don't really understand how making Caius the main villain in XIII serve much relevance. His job was to oversee the timeline and be Yuel's guardian. In XIII the party had nothing to do with the changing the timeline, it was all down to Etro. Caius would have no reason to go against the party. Vanille and Fang have their back story in Episode 0 along with the rest of the party. The novels and games are/were meant to go hand in hand. SE messed up though by not bringing some of the novels out outside of Japan. I agree Light could've developed faster but...she starts coming out of her shell about 6 hours through. considering you have to play as other characters within those 6 hours that's not too bad going. I'd say she really starts to develop in the Vile peaks and Gapra whitewood with Hope. I get what Toriyama was doing with the story. The main plot of XIII is easy to follow it's the mythology side of things that isn't very well explained though. It's mentioned only a handful of times. Vanille talks to the party through it in Oerba, Hope hints at it before that in the 5th Ark and Orphan/Barthandelus brings it up in the final fight. Bhuni and Etro's parts are vaguely mentioned in the datalog, they do give hints though to certain scenes that are happening where you might've questioned how something was possible. i.e The party coming back from their Cie'th forms was down to Etro (You can see her gate appear behind Orphan, which means she's interfering). I can't comment on type-0 since I've only played a few hours of it.
I just re-arranged the characters to fit 2 games,took some unnecessary things(Timeline etc) and put it all together. The Concept and everything was well conceived...just executed and written really poorly. Dont want this too be too long and sorry if it is man. FFXIII I wont state the the parties back story here as it will be too much and how they can be heavily involved with this story aswell so ill just set up the villains plot while giving a bit of insight into Lighting and Co plot. I just think it would be better if Caius,Bhuni were on the same side in some sort of way,Noel and Yeul's story with him could remain the same EXCEPT Caius being Seeker of the timeline he could of been SOMETHING to Bhuni maybe a Fal,Cie who loves a human who was made a L,cie(Maybe Yeul?) from another Fal.Cie. Lightning and Co could of been branded by the Fal,Cie who might either A. Think Something is wrong with this whole Gates must be open,Etro must be destroyed business B. Loves Etro (If thats the case then Etro and this Fal,Cie could of done ya Fal,Cie slam and have a babeh;)..Caius maybe?) C. Friends with Etro Etro aswell could of put something in Caius to ensure that he is really the key to the Otherworld and only when killed by Etro can the gate be opened...knowing this was impossible she was ok (This happens all inbetween the mythology BEFORE Etro gets sent to the otherworld and meets mynn). Bhuni found out about this but didnt know how to go about. Lightning and Co could of had a better connection story aswell as better insight into there backstory like Lightning Loosing her parents leaving her to look after Serah going through a hard life doing whatever she can to protect her,Sazh loosing his boy, Fang and Vanille both being pawns of 2 Fal,Cie in the past, Hope loosing BOTH his parents during a certain incident and Serah thinking she isnt strong enough but will always be there for her sister since her parents died. We can still keep the Snow wanting to marry Serah thing though. Caius could of been given a special task to deal with Lightning and Co simply because they have something to do with Etro and former Fal,Cie who work together to ensure the safety of humanity while Fal,Cie Caius and the other Fal,Cie are against Etro and would do ANYTHING do rid of her even if it cost Humanity so basically they see Humanity as some type of tools(Caius is unaware Etro and this other Fal,Cie are his parents:O) but obviously Caius doesn't because he loves Yeul who was made a L,Cie by another Fal,Cie. Caius was probably the only one tasked by Bhuni to kill Lightning and Co but also has a hatred for the Fal,Cie who made Yeul a L,Cie.Caius could of Caius could of given up most of his Fal,Cie powers (Just enough to make him weak to the Fal,Cie but strong enough to take on Lightning and Co" to make the Yeul a normal human and not a L,cie only to get killed by the same Fal,cie later while Caius is still dealing with Lightning and Co making it his "Last task" before he can go with Yeul.Caius could of lost in XIII setting up certain events to transpire in FFXIII-2 making the Gate open and the other world opening BUT may look complete because its like "Great! we defeated Caius" making them completely blind to the big plan aswell as finishing there focus of protecting Etro. Snow could of lost Serah to Caius during some fight leaving him a broken character at the end of XIII aswell as leaving whichever Fal,cie to manipulate him thinking Serah can be brought back! FFXIII-2 Most Fal,Cie are upset because Bhuni turns out to be a selfish asshole so each Fal,cie rebrands Lightning and Co, The 1 Fal,Cie who has most of Caius's power rebrands Snow to deal with his friends promising he/she will bring back Serah while the Fal,Cie finds out about Bhuni's plan to rule the otherworld and wants to do this aswell so follows Bhuni.,Noel is left distraught that Yeul is dead aswell as Caius while still not knowing what exactly Caius was trying to do,Bhuni is awakened and tries to head to the otherworld to deal with Mynn and Etro not knowing the Fal,Cie on Earth are against him. Lightning and Co are re branded by the pissed off Fal,Cie and given a "Timeless" Focus to find an object to kill Bhuni that Etro made before she was stripped of her powers since she found out Bhuni killed Mynn, This Object can only be used by people holding the will of Etro(Pretty much she intended this to be given to Caius since he is an offspring of Etro hoping Caius would find out and kill Bhuni himself) after they talk in the Otherworld,Noel Joins them as a normal human, Snow tries to stop them thinking Serah might come back(Lies). In the end Etro meets Yeul,Serah,Dajh,Hopes Parents,Light&Serah's parents in the other life, Etro gives them her life force in "Repayment" for what Light and Co did only to chaos across the land since the Etro is dead, The Fal,Cie's die by each others hands,Focus starts to count down for Lightning and Co. Weapon is when one becomes Ragnarok?? , Since Snow realizes the Fal,Cie was lying and his Focus is starting to count down to kill his friends he contemplates his actions and hates himself but Serah comes to confront him since she has come back telling him to help light while there is still time so he joins them, Noel is visited by Yeul and is told the truth about Caius at the last minute. Ragnorok is whooping Bhuni's ass to the brink of death and as Ragnarok is about to kill him Dajh,Hopes Parents,Serah&Lights parents show up to tell them to stop or they will be killed. After the shock of seeing them they say "no its alright! atleast humanity will be rid of these Fal,Cie and L,Cie!" but "Fang and Vanille are like no..we will do it as you guys have lots to loose" they take up the job to BOTH be Ragnarok and kill Bhuni destroying anything Crystal,Magic etc related (SPOILER!!! Pretty much similar to LR ending SPOILER FINISHED!!). a long nice CG cut scene is shown how humanity rebuilt the world after the rule of the Fal,Cie ending the story of 13...written by Nojima:) Took me an 1 and a half to come up with this..so forgive me if i missed alot in the Mytho and may have contradicted myself aswell as said some things that dont correspond with others. Yes i took very few stuff from 13/LR aswell as XIII-2 as there were VERY little stuff that was a bit interesting. Also spelling and sentence structure may be weak, as i am on my Samsung GS3 Hope you Enjoyed my story of FFXIII&FFXIII-2 XD!
Really nice fight. First time seeing the battle system in full swing. Would have been awesome that instead of changing clothes(paradigms?), you switch between team members (the battle area seems a little empty even with the cool magic imo) , but whatevs. Idk the story well enough to know if that would work.
I just Laugh Now that i read what all that means Sarah this Sarah that...she needs to Quit using her sisters as a Cover for her own Feelings.Sarah will indeed be sad if he dies but Lightning would be Worse off...
I originally fought snow++ on like day 10 or something like that. Couldn't even get his life to halfway. Ended up having to do a game over. When I fought him again, he was normal and I was very leveled up. The fight was super easy this time...I ended up just casting decoy a few times and wailing on him in between. It's a cheap tactic but this way he spends most of the time attacking the moogle which is funny. I didn't even have to use a potion. I could've faced him head on as his attacks weren't doing much damage to me (like 200hp per hit at the most). Letting the world end (time run out) and starting again is really the only way to grind and level up in this game but it's worth it for these annoying boss fights.
He changes his appearance If you face him from day 6-9, he get's a power boost and progresses further into his Cie'th form. From Day 10+ he get's another power boost and progresses even further into his Cie'th form.
No (: I'll be continuing the livestream through new game+ Normal mode is quite a lot harder than I expected, it took me about 2 hours just to beat Snow. and an hour to beat Noel. I don't really want to dedicate a whole stream just for some boss fights xD
I heard you get special costumes for having save files from the last two games? Do they have to be finished saves or just saves? I moved to a different region since the XIII and XIII-2 was released. >.< Save files dont carry over to different accounts....

It's still Villiers because it has the voice mark after the 'U' (ウ) which gives it a 'V' sound. Although most of the time Japanese pronounce V as B. lol So depending on the voice actor they may pronounce it Billiers or Villiers. Same with Vanille
They better not bring back Serah. If Aeris can't come back neither should Serah . Snow needs to move on and he's needs to do that with Lighting. Wish I knew what they are saying.
Well, the games have different universes. In FF7 there were no gods with the power to do that. This game's setting has already established that once someone dies there soul is sent the invisible world. When the 2 worlds merged at the end of XIII-2 it was pretty much a given that Light would look for Serah's soul
I suggest playing XIII :) Snow has always used his fists to fight with the exception of when he froze one of the Anubis's halberd in the opening and used it as a lance for about 30 seconds lol. I don't know where you got the idea from that he used a sword xD

If I remember right if you face him before the 6th day he has 440,000 hp, after that he'll become stronger and have 740,000 hp and after 10 days he'll become even stronger with most likely over 1,000,000 hp
Mark Wise well the first half of the cutscene's translation don't need to be scrolled through to fit them all on. They already fit just fine. You can also fit the second cutscenes translation on fine too if you just scroll down. You don't need to scroll whilst the video is playing. Also, there's a pause button lol
I don't really know, what it looks like to me is instant parad. switching, with four (?) set skills to use for the role you currently are, with an individual ATB bar for each role that will fill at its own pace. This is totally a guess, I am not entirely sure

You understand that whole thing about him being a hero was all a front right? And that if he said it enough times and tried to convince people he was a hero then maybe he himself would believe he was really a hero. Of course he wakes up to reality when him and Hope have that scene in Palumpolum. Either way, no, 500 years in a world infested with chaos slowly began to torment Snow and now all he wants to do is die when the world is supposed to end. He doesn't want to live any longer than he has to without Serah. He fights Lightning because he knows if he loses then she's going to purify his soul so he'll be reborn in the new world and if he doesn't fight her then she'll do it anyway. His only option is to try and defeat her.
How in the hell did you get the game a month before it comes out in the US you're let's play is a big Spoler alert. For people that per order game and still waiting for it.
Gosh, this fighting system looks like shit. If they wanted to go for a real-time why didn't they incorporate a much better battle system like Kingdom Hearts II's or something. This looks terrible.

Most Fal,Cie are upset because Bhuni turns out to be a selfish asshole so each Fal,cie rebrands Lightning and Co, The 1 Fal,Cie who has most of Caius's power rebrands Snow to deal with his friends promising he/she will bring back Serah while the Fal,Cie finds out about Bhuni's plan to rule the otherworld and wants to do this aswell so follows Bhuni.,Noel is left distraught that Yeul is dead aswell as Caius while still not knowing what exactly Caius was trying to do,Bhuni is awakened and tries to head to the otherworld to deal with Mynn and Etro not knowing the Fal,Cie on Earth are against him.
Lightning and Co are re branded by the pissed off Fal,Cie and given a "Timeless" Focus to find an object to kill Bhuni that Etro made before she was stripped of her powers since she found out Bhuni killed Mynn, This Object can only be used by people holding the will of Etro(Pretty much she intended this to be given to Caius since he is an offspring of Etro hoping Caius would find out and kill Bhuni himself) after they talk in the Otherworld,Noel Joins them as a normal human, Snow tries to stop them thinking Serah might come back(Lies).
In the end Etro meets Yeul,Serah,Dajh,Hopes Parents,Light&Serah's parents in the other life, Etro gives them her life force in "Repayment" for what Light and Co did only to chaos across the land since the Etro is dead, The Fal,Cie's die by each others hands,Focus starts to count down for Lightning and Co. Weapon is when one becomes Ragnarok?? , Since Snow realizes the Fal,Cie was lying and his Focus is starting to count down to kill his friends he contemplates his actions and hates himself but Serah comes to confront him since she has come back telling him to help light while there is still time so he joins them, Noel is visited by Yeul and is told the truth about Caius at the last minute. Ragnorok is whooping Bhuni's ass to the brink of death and as Ragnarok is about to kill him Dajh,Hopes Parents,Serah&Lights parents show up to tell them to stop or they will be killed. After the shock of seeing them they say "no its alright! atleast humanity will be rid of these Fal,Cie and L,Cie!" but "Fang and Vanille are like no..we will do it as you guys have lots to loose" they take up the job to BOTH be Ragnarok and kill Bhuni destroying anything Crystal,Magic etc related (SPOILER!!! Pretty much similar to LR ending SPOILER FINISHED!!). a long nice CG cut scene is shown how humanity rebuilt the world after the rule of the Fal,Cie ending the story of 13...written by Nojima:)
Took me an 1 and a half to come up with this..so forgive me if i missed alot in the Mytho and may have contradicted myself aswell as said some things that dont correspond with others. Yes i took very few stuff from 13/LR aswell as XIII-2 as there were VERY little stuff that was a bit interesting. Also spelling and sentence structure may be weak, as i am on my Samsung GS3

Really nice fight. First time seeing the battle system in full swing. Would have been awesome that instead of changing clothes(paradigms?), you switch between team members (the battle area seems a little empty even with the cool magic imo) , but whatevs. Idk the story well enough to know if that would work.

I originally fought snow++ on like day 10 or something like that. Couldn't even get his life to halfway. Ended up having to do a game over. When I fought him again, he was normal and I was very leveled up. The fight was super easy this time...I ended up just casting decoy a few times and wailing on him in between. It's a cheap tactic but this way he spends most of the time attacking the moogle which is funny. I didn't even have to use a potion. I could've faced him head on as his attacks weren't doing much damage to me (like 200hp per hit at the most). Letting the world end (time run out) and starting again is really the only way to grind and level up in this game but it's worth it for these annoying boss fights.

Overclocks not spammable on normal mode. not until you hit new game+ anyway, even then though it takes the fun out of the fights and the combat system

He changes his appearance If you face him from day 6-9, he get's a power boost and progresses further into his Cie'th form. From Day 10+ he get's another power boost and progresses even further into his Cie'th form.

I heard you get special costumes for having save files from the last two games? Do they have to be finished saves or just saves? I moved to a different region since the XIII and XIII-2 was released. >.< Save files dont carry over to different accounts....

It's still Villiers because it has the voice mark after the 'U' (ウ) which gives it a 'V' sound. Although most of the time Japanese pronounce V as B. lol So depending on the voice actor they may pronounce it Billiers or Villiers. Same with Vanille

Well, the games have different universes. In FF7 there were no gods with the power to do that. This game's setting has already established that once someone dies there soul is sent the invisible world. When the 2 worlds merged at the end of XIII-2 it was pretty much a given that Light would look for Serah's soul

I suggest playing XIII :) Snow has always used his fists to fight with the exception of when he froze one of the Anubis's halberd in the opening and used it as a lance for about 30 seconds lol. I don't know where you got the idea from that he used a sword xD

Mark Wise well the first half of the cutscene's translation don't need to be scrolled through to fit them all on. They already fit just fine. You can also fit the second cutscenes translation on fine too if you just scroll down. You don't need to scroll whilst the video is playing. Also, there's a pause button lol

I don't really know, what it looks like to me is instant parad. switching, with four (?) set skills to use for the role you currently are, with an individual ATB bar for each role that will fill at its own pace. This is totally a guess, I am not entirely sure

You understand that whole thing about him being a hero was all a front right? And that if he said it enough times and tried to convince people he was a hero then maybe he himself would believe he was really a hero. Of course he wakes up to reality when him and Hope have that scene in Palumpolum.
Either way, no, 500 years in a world infested with chaos slowly began to torment Snow and now all he wants to do is die when the world is supposed to end. He doesn't want to live any longer than he has to without Serah. He fights Lightning because he knows if he loses then she's going to purify his soul so he'll be reborn in the new world and if he doesn't fight her then she'll do it anyway. His only option is to try and defeat her.

Gosh, this fighting system looks like shit. If they wanted to go for a real-time why didn't they incorporate a much better battle system like Kingdom Hearts II's or something. This looks terrible.
