Edward Hallett Carr was a British political scientist and historian specialising in modern Russian history he was born in 1892 and lived until 1982. His book what his history was based on a series of lectures he gave in 1961. Although controversial at the time, this work remains an important piece in our understanding of the nature of history, and our study of it.
