i played this for marching band today and i noticed that all of these marching bands things don’t have flute/clarinet. are those instruments just not considered for marching band or are they just quieter? like for when we played georgia on my mind by ray charles, it had no flutes and clarinets in the recording while when we played we had them?
I was wondering if I could use this score for reference in an arrangement for my band. We don't have all of the instruments so I was wondering if I could arrange my score off of this. I would have the names you've listed in the title on mine. Thank you!
I put the playback speed at .75 to slow it down and I like it better slowed down in the beginning and some other parts but then it needs to speed up at certain parts. Just my opinion. I was a sax player but our band was so small the saxes usually played along with the low. Brass. Wall of sound our director wanted from us some 30 high school kids lol
Same here, I think we had 35. I started out playing alto, then tenor and finally bari as a senior. We had like 1 trombone and 1 tuba, 2 baritones and 2 bari saxes as our "low brass" haha. East Texas high school.
