- unfortunately this car had a large amount of hidden and structure rust. parting her out is the easiest solution.
watch the video and you'll see why!

From my perspective, seems like you made the right decision to part her out.
This makes me feel better about my 85 coming from California originally and only spending 2 or so years in SD
I wish I could have that many spare parts for my Tercel, I've been looking for years for those wheel center caps and they are just gone in my area. Great video, I think you did the right thing with this tercel.
Sorry that the car was so rough. At least it’s helping other cars live on. At least 5 from my count are getting parts from it. Also the window shield will be nice to have since they are so hard to find.
It's nice to stack up on parts! Nice vid man
Thanks for the video man. It’s always appreciated
Wonder if the dome light covers & cabin fuse box covers were the same from 1980 on up.
Buenas noches me gustaría que pudiera es plicar en español grasias
They really screwed up with that pathetic control arm design. Had to change both sides on my 1980 Tercel & never got a recall notice.. How were they permitted to sell them here in the 1st place.
They really did. It's a horrible design!
@@BeardedWrencher It's Ok if in a desert but come on now!
Exactly! They boast a 4wd system and showcase them plowing through the snow yet short changed the front control arm area.
I have received pictures from people with these cars in the northeast in the mid 90s with a massive amount of rust around them. It's really quite sad.
@@BeardedWrencher And they charged $$ for rust proofing their vehicles. You can get the assemblies in e bay but one side might cost 3-4 times the other. Funny, I changed mine on my 1980 but they were still serviceable.
